FIRST HEARD CYNTHIA HER BACK IN 1988 WHEN LIVING IN NY.I FELT IN LOVE WITH THE SONG INSTANTLY.REMEMBER I TRIED SO HARD TO BUY THE LP EVEN AT THE LARGEST MUSIC STORE TOWER RECORDS BUT NO ONE APPEARED TO STOCK IT.I FINALLY FOUND IT IN A SMALL STORE SOMEWHERE NEAR TIMES SQUARE.THANKFULLY HOT FM RADIO STATION PLAYED IT EVERY DAY AND I WAS ENJOYING IT ON MY WALKMAN GOING TO COLLEGE.IN 1989 I SAW HER LIVEAT ROSELAND. SHE MAY STILL REMEMBERS ME CAUSE AFTER THE CONCERT I SPOOKE TO HER BRIEFLY AND ASKED HER IF SHE NEEDED ANY DANCERS.THAT NIGHT SHE PERFORMED WITH TWO MALE DANCERS IN BLUE SUITS IF I AM RIGHT.IN 2019 I SAW HER AGAIN LIVE AT COPA CABANA.THAT SNG TO ME IS JUST ETHERAL AND ETERNAL.I LOVE HER

I remember being taken to the house parties when my siblings skipped school and stuck us in the basement with other brothers and sisters.. but they did check on us.. buncha 9 year olds learning about life 😂.. song brings back the best of memories .. different times.. but they taught us culture.. aint gonna lie.. made me fall in love with the art of music and to this day we continue to represent for our people and culture.. classic!! 😎👍❤💯
