Thank you so much for your in-depth review of our game! Cynthia has a special place in our hearts, as it is our first big project :3 and it was definitely a huge learning experience. We hope you will have fun while playing the game
Although my career is totally different, it is my dream to one day make a game. Therefore I can only say: congrats for your efforts. Big respect to what you have done, in particular if you have put your heart into the game ❤
What I love most about your channel is how much time you spend on indie games. I love the attention you bring to these hidden gems. Appreciate the hard work.
Woah, I was hoping to see a review on this and its not at all how I had assumed. Probably won't be picking it up though. Thanks for the review it was really helpful.
Great review, lads. While others are complaining that it's too short, that's the very thing that has sold me on it! I was initially a bit put off that you can't engage enemies directly, but am still keen on trying it!
Glad you guys did a review on this one. I was interested from your new releases video, but now I'll wait for a sale. Still looks worth 3 hours of gameplay though.
This game looks absolutely beautiful, for an inde game it blows my mind! It’s sad that it’s too short. But I think supporting this developers will help them do even better things in the future!
With the Tomb Raider remasters coming out next month, this is good timing for Cynthia. Though I realize they are very different in many ways, there aren't many games like this on the switch. It is unfortunate that the quality of the game seems to be pretty modest, but we'll honestly have to see how well Tomb Raider turns out (there seems to be a lot of negative buzz around it). I'm hoping to see an Outer Wilds review from you soon! I really like how thorough the switchup reviews are, and there are unfortunately very few Outer Wilds reviews for the switch release!!!
Bought it this morning before going to work. Haven't played yet, but for the price & after watching your review, I'm confident that I will have some fun with it. Hope the developers continue to work on it, based on the problems you mentioned. Thanks for the honest review. Love your videos! See YAAAAA!!
One game this Hearkens to that most people won’t remember. “Beyond good and evil” The main focus was stealth and using traps and maneuvers to get around your foes and rarely fight them straight up. That was one of Ubisofts first big games on the GameCube
That extremely close camera would bother me immediately. Seems like a lot of elements of 'its not the worst' coming together to make an"not terrible" soup. Thx for looking out!
Honestly I love these types of games. I'm glad people are starting to embrace these "clone like" games instead of laughing them off. I really do hope we keep getting them. Winbound was another one that I thoroughly enjoyed and I haven't even tried again since it was all patched! I'll pick this one up on the first deep sale. Cheers.
Was super excited about this when I saw the trailer and screenshots, but the $13 price tag was suspicious right off the bat. I appreciate that small indie developers can only do so much, but seems like this could have really been something great with some more resources.
After such a good year of games last year the backlog has so many high quality games for someone with limited gaming time. A game like this really needs something special for the less than stellar aspects to be forgiven and worth putting ahead of such great games waiting in the wings. Always appreciate Devs trying though and a great stepping stone for some of the team I'm sure.
Clearly a lot of signs pointing to missing QA as some things should have been cleared once somebody played it (e.g. Camera) and feels bad to have the feeling of „overpriced“ when its actually quite cheap. Guess I will pass. But thx for the review!
Definitely will be a great game with a patch update to make it more polish.. But hey.. I'm more care about gameplay.. Hope there's going to be more content tho at least up to 8 hours total gameplay..
Hopefully some patches like cameras and evoirments like grasses fade out as it's closed up the cam so it wouldn't be in the way. Otherthan that it looked promising.
Unfortunate. It looks fine, and I actually got excited about it when I first heard about it, but the focus on stealth makes it far less enticing to me. I'm not a fan of stealth games, and stealth sections in Zelda games (like the Proving Grounds in TotK) are always my least favourite parts. Oh well, it does look like a good effort though, especially as a first game.
Looks nice, but Unfortunately lost me when you mentioned stealth 😅 but thats just me

I think adventure games need to be longer to attract my attention. Otherwise, the adventure is more kind of a trip. Anyway, I appreciate that it can be enjoyable.
The game seems pleasant enough but not quite what I was expecting. Along with everything else, the lack of actual combat is disappointing. Even in a deep sale I don’t think I’d pick it it up, seems overly simplistic and under engaging. I feel I would be playing it just for playing sake.
I don't see anyone taking more than 2 hours on this one. Unless the player's a small child or someone with some kind of disability or someone who's new to gaming. Will def wait for sale on this one.
Doesn't look to bad, but at the same time like a character model that floats thru the environment . Steam has it at a decent review score. I'll be skipping it, as it sort of makes me want to play Fenyx Rising again.
Yay, it’s Switchup time! This game looks so sweet, I like the fact that you don’t fight enemies but just try to get past them. The art style is very interesting but I agree that the choice of colors is a little bit too much
This indeed caught my eye during the last upcoming games video. Seems like the game has classic, for indies, camera issues 😅 Game looks good enough for an indie team and whilst I won't be picking this one up (too short for my tastes) I hope that this developer sticks with their work because it seems like they have decent base that they need to build up upon. Thanks for quick review Glen! I didn't expect to see this one so soon.
