Dear uncle it is so nice that you recognize how we caribbean Indians try our best to keep up our culture, despite the great disadvantage of not speaking our mother tongue, yet we know and feel the love of Sri Ram in our veins and we sing the words of hindi songs,, etc hat we know very little meaning. I am from NY but my background is Guyanese and we strive here too to keep up our culture. However, I would love to connect with people from the mainland Up in hopes of one day visiting and finding my roots..
@@freepomeroon yes they do the song talks about the army of monkeys led by shri hanuman ji that set out in search of sita maa who was kidnapped by ravana the king of lanka, its a well known classical bhajan dedicated to hanuman that most hindu in the caribbean knows about even if theres some that dont know they are aware its a bhajan dedicated to hanuman ji, you listen to spanish music yet you dont know what the hell they talking about most of the time its vulgar music, hindus and indians are keeping their culture prospering, you dont have a culture as good or better than hinduism dont try to dicate or look down on something you dont know about
Wonderful! We have similar music in Guyana. Indians in Guyana, Trinidad, and Suriname have this type of music - derived from the Bhojpuri culture of North India.
