Thank you for saving my life, as a kid I was so broken that my mind had left me. Was placed into youth correction with really heavy hitting kids and little defenseless doe-eyed me, at first the teasing and bullying continued, however unlike the little shitheads previously these terrifying gangsters flipped around. My total lack of confidence, willpower and will to live seem to make them protect and raise me. Where the adults and system failed these "problematic", criminal kids became the family I never had, and they raised and lifted me from a very dark place. This was when I was introduced to Cypress Hill and that feeling of for the first time being treated as a human being changed me, I grew confidence and a sense of "street justice". Your lyrics empowered me to find a place in this world, to claim my place as a human being and fight back. Lazlo became my first mentor and role model, he saw me lying covered in muck in the gutter and where everyone had passed me by kicking more dirt on me he stopped, and adressed me as a human being. I was ready to log out of life any day but just that little spark kept me in the fight, I am a fucking trainwreck of a person but still alive today. I have traveled a distance of 2 lifetimes in my life, not only did I survived but I kept pushing and fighting forward just for the hope to be able to rejoin my mother and brother. Normal people start life at 0, I was at a disadvantage starting at -50 with poverty, MIA amphetamine father, mother that preferred pills and booze. My first memory was a sound from my childhood that I had a hard time identifying until I watched UFC and a guy gets slammed like steak on a cutting board, right then it kicked in. That was the sound of my mother being tossed into a wall like a wet rag by a "step-father", To this day I only have that memory from my early childhood because I have learned that somethings are forgotten and hidden for a reason, your brain protects you for a reason and you should abide by that. When I was sent to the home I was taken from I didn't recognize it, my mother and brother weren't the same people anymore. I came back to a family that continued on the path forward so I had no family bond to anyone, that was when my ganster days kicked in. Always ready to die and a meatcleaver strapped to my back. I got back to "normal" after a few years of struggle, went back to school just to prove to "them" I was not a chip of the block. Got my own place, a job and steady income and experienced love for the first time. It was a fucking trip man, going from analyzing how to disable and maim everyone I met, to going like "She has been nice to me these couple of days, she deserves flowers and a poem just because I want to lift her spirits" Life so far has been a fucking rollercoaster designed by wild monkeys on acid, where the cart derails in the middle of a loop and you have to get of and put that shit back on the rails and push until you get past it to the next derailment. I do not regret or wish any difference, every wreck has been an adventure and moment of lesson. The book of my life is filled with some crazy shit that makes an interesting read, my life and journey is not over yet. Maybe more adventure awaits me on the next page, every struggle you have in life is a testament to who you are and how you resolve it. No God or Man is writing the book of your life but yourself, for everything that comes into your life carries responsibility, when it is on your page in your book it is your responsibility. No matter if that blondie jock fuck-face boy tossed it from the other side of the library, when it lands on your page you are responsible for your action against it. If you want to yeet the fuck with a punt out of your life fucking do it, but remember how short that story is. Maybe hold on to it for a while, watch and learn from it. Find a way to use it as a tool to get your journey forward, always be kind and never cruel but be righteous and firm, never start a fight and try to prevent it but when the fight seeks out you make sure to end it fast and hard. If you need this like I did when I was tumbling down the rabbithole, take it and know these words hold true: - I am proud of you! - *a tight hug* - You make me happy :D - I love you! - You got this man!! I am here but you got this, I believe in you!! Take care of the book, the pages and the adventures of your life, your body, your mind and your heart. Thank you @Cypress Hill For saving my life and being a motivation and reality anchor in my youth, I still check in sometimes and look back at how far I have come. Keep up the awesomeness everyone!
The only reason I know about this song is bc my neighbor relentlessly played it full blast, doors open in his truck FOR WEEKS. All I could remember was BIDDY BYE BYEEE 😭

To all those complaining about Cypress selling out for being in vevo, do you really think they hired vevo? Or was it Sony? Do you think they were even asked about it? Do you think they even care, given the fact that you listen to it anyway? Please...
yea so dumb- they can't even say the word die- that said they did a fair job with all the various sound effects every 6 seconds to make it video "friendly" - reminds me of old wu videos with all the kung fu noises over all the cursing-
