That is what this big country does. How could U K have authority over some portion of country's land? I didn't hear any other country have a large part portion of land in U.K or America. They are the one coercing countries to give them part of their country for selfish purposes and so many atrocities have been committing there.

I'm from Cyprus. We are not, and we can't participate in any way in this war. We have 2 United Kingdom Sovereign Bases in our island where our goverment has no power at all. They are British areas/land. We are only try to help Palestinians refugees via Amalthia project: ships full of food and medicine supplies depart from our port to Gaza.
So am i, oiling my G3 let them come :) , we are a Christian country, we are not run by Islam we can help who we like. Especially gods Children , Jesus is king we have nothing to fear .

For those unaware, Cyprus was once part of the British Empire, Greek Cypriots had a guerrilla war with the British to end British rule in the 50s. Cyprus finally got its independence in the 60s from the British and part of independence treaty was to allow British bases in Cyprus to remain on sovereign British soil, which means that British law applies to that part of Cyprus. So even if the Greek Cypriot goverment oppose of what the British are doing they have no legal right to stop it as far as I know. Many Cypriots hate the fact that the British still have sovereign soil in Cyprus.
I studied in Nicosia and its such a beautiful city ,along with Limassol, Paphos,and Ayia Nappa hope Cyprus doesn't get itself tangled in this war becouse EU will help Cyprus just as much as it helped Ukraine.I hope and pray that Cypriots are smarter than the Ukrainians and won't be fooled by the USA and EU to become a sacrificial lamb like Ukraine.

Britain will lose these bases, the Cypriots on both sides don’t want them there, there is also a large UK contingent to the UN there in Nicosia that’s imposing. This blatant support of the infanticide was the last straw. Cypriots are decent people who do not tolerate the slaying of children.
