Just got back from 8 days family holiday in Salou, 9th time i believe. Still get €2 pints in the pubs run by the locals but jumps to €3.50 minimum in bars run by Brits and more in the up market bars in general. Paphos was like that and i found that the little local owned bars were the best for afternoon drinking with a large bottle of local beer at €1.50.
Defiantly keep these type of videos going Kev , the weather during the summer months is good every where , so the cost of food and drink is massively important 👍

Hi Kevin. After we spoke about Protaras in The Vault in February and watching your Cyprus videos, we are returning in 2 weeks time, 5 days in Protaras, 5 days in Paphos. Flora's cocktail bar (as it was called then) was just the small ice cream/gelateria section and after a big fire, the whole building was refurbed and now looks like Flora's is the whole length now. Loving these videos and seeing all the changes since we were there in 2016. Hope you enjoyed Cyprus and Protaras in particular.
I bet MacD gets hammered later at night with all the party animals. Got to admit cocktails seem very affordable but guess lots plump for the bucket of beer. Last time I was in Zante at Laganas it was goldfish bowls of cocktails to party share 😜 Hopefully it will start getting busier once the main season gets into gear. Cheers DougT
best resort in cyprus 20 plus years all over also craigs bar ayia napa great nite great prices new pub opened across from spinx i min walk other side drag acts brillaent night and free entry called diamonds showbar never laghed so much fantastic night also cjs bar at androtis apartments fantastic food and entertaiment all in protaras
Way back before the Turkish invasion I lived in Ayia Napa. At that time KEO beer was illegal in the UK. Apparently the local water contained arsenic above the legal limit in the UK, Never did me any harm. No big deal Cyprus produces excellent local wine and Brandy. Try to find "Commandaria" a wine that has a history going back over 900 years. yes 900 not a typo. When I arrived Protoras did not exist and sadly has been over developed. since 1974. Personally I would go elsewhere.
After madalena turn left in 1 km you will be in pernera area it's amazing there good restaurants speedy Gonzales, knights pub ,sizlers restaurant makes the best steaks in Cyprus
yes keep telling us prices ,,as you said can vary ,,in 1993 went to turkey as everyone was saying you cant give your money away ,,so 2 people sent £1400 i kid you not ,,and all the other couples we meet brought £500 for a fortnight and ran out after a few days so had to get some trans fered and food was terrible ,,paid £8 to get egg and chips just to have something to eat ,,but if you went into the little cafes were only locals went food was good and cheap
ill tell you what time it shuts ,,about 4am i stayed there and it was terrlble terrable really terrable ,,next morning went and took me 3 hrs to find the owner who did move us ,,then found out the people who were drinking and telling me to f,,, off were the staff!!dusgusting ,,greenery is good
piece of advice ..dont drink the cocktails they are made from the cheapest shitty alcohol they can find ,,i use to live in cyprus and know a few people who had to go to hospital because of this ...we were in protaras when the greeks won the euros it was fab..in waves bar so nice and free drinks ,,,
Had 11 nights in protaras july 22 and it was great value, even though we were all inclusive we went out every night and loved it. Back to es cana this July and staying at the Ereso for the first time so we'll see what that's like, p. S keep up the great vids pal👍
