It's hard to learn How tears can burn one's heart But that's a thing that I found out Too late I guess, cause I'm in a mess My faith has gone Why lead me on this way? I thought there'd be no price on love But I had to pay If I could perform one miracle I'd revive your thoughts of me I know that it's hopeless You could never really care That's why I despair! I'll go along hoping Someday you'll learn The flame in my heart, dear Forever will burn!
@@gatozagarra5438 I've got Miles doing it on LP, cassette, and CD and seems like King Pleasure and Manhattan Transfer recorded it. Got to get back to playing my T-bone and 88s, both are waiting for me in view and I love them. No motivation to play. Sat down at my childhood piano a couple days ago, couldn't remember a complete tune I'd written; hadn't played since 2005. I'll get back to it; motivated again.
My 55y/o Baldwin studio will be moved into my house in a few days; that's what I need other than this Technics that sounds like a Steinway. Atleast that's what I'm hoping will get me playing again; she won't get dusty like the Technics.
Also there is the Bob Dorough vocalese version - which I've a real soft spot for, even if it is a tiny bit dated, or perhaps we say should it's 'vintage'.
Been a long while since I've heard a rhythm section swinging this hard. And every monday too! Hope I can catch you guys in Europe at some point, and if not I'm gonna have to make it over there
Cyrille has so much swing and energy ! I was happy to comp behind her at piano in a Paris Club called « Café Universel », unfortunetaly the first tune the bass heard Eb and me Bb ! Hopefully we find our way back, but Cyrille was very nice !! Hope to see you another time at café U !
one thing to take note of on the quality of these players - Russle and Kyle keep perfect time throughout this brisk moving rendition of one of Birds great bebop tunes - listen to the beginning of the tune and near the end - exactly the same tempo. All these folks are obviously world class excellent players, all pulling the tune forward cycling through the changes with forceful ease. What a benefit to be able to check this out
every single one of these artists are virtuoso! Usually some are just background, but with each one highlighted, they're all having so much fun, and what a joy to witness their craft!

Absolutely fantastic scatting with spontaneous creativity of the whole band ! What chemistry & joy ! BTW Where is Emmet’s Place ? Where does Cyrille live ?
I love her voice! Sounds straight out of the 1930s - 40s. And best scat singing I ever heard. (On the same level as Ella Fitzgerald scat singing Cotton Tail). Wow!
You know, I came across your channel along the way, and I've been very entertained in watching your videos. Your playing is why I wanted to play piano (not that you were around then), but I never had the discipline or the motivation to do anything with it. I have an older arranger keyboard and I can amuse myself, but it's not the same. I'm 66 years old now, and I will never be able to reach the ability that you have, at least the way I'm going now, but that's okay. I had to laugh, about 7:30 through the video, the entire place was rockin' out, and that includes the camera. I thought that was amusing. Anyway, I wanted to thank you for putting these great productions together. I can put on a RU-vid mix of your stuff and it's great stuff in the background when I'm doing other things, and it's also just great to watch you play, and the singers you have. Good stuff! Thanks for all of it.
