Sir, i did left maxillectomy due to mucormycosis in early 2021 followed by recent rehabilitation surgery with psi implants . I would like to know food particle water is coming through nose inspite of ALP free flap surgery. Thanks
1. when it become mobile (grade 2/3) due to bone loss 2. if the teeth is located within the cystic cavity 3. when it is not suitable for restoration, endodontically or prosthetically 4. other reasons - supernumerary / impacted teeth etc..
Extremely large mandibular cysts destruct most of the bone including lower border of the mandible in cyst region....so while attempting to separate cyst lining from underlying bone, due to that pressure it may result in fracture
