Welcome to this short series of videos where I talk to some our community’s most well-know and loved faces about the power of sharing your story.
We live in an age where it is easier than ever to connect with like-minded others who share the same passions or who go through the same things we do.
Whether you have CF or not - and particularly if not, it is my belief that there is a lot to learn from this amazing bunch of individuals.
In this episode I talk to Chris Kerr, a well-known and loved member of the CF community who is currently training for his first triathlon event later this year, after receiving the life-changing CF Drug: Trikafta (known as Kaftrio in the UK).

I've known Chris for a lot of years since school and always been an inspirational lad but over the last few years we've shared a bit more while both training for triathlon through health struggles and it's been incredible to to see his improvement since getting the Trikafta. It's a pleasure to get out training with him

Symkevi will be available soon for me, kaftrio or trikafta is prob going to be another long waiting period. But untill then, I'm going to try to keep myself fit. I can relate a lot to the story about the younger version of the runner... happy to see what he realised. Going to watch the rest now, and you got a new sub 👌💪

@@MarcCotterill I will 👊🤜🤛 You keep up the good work yourself,.. how did the new meds had impact on muscle development? Any ideas? ^^

@@CysticFibrosisFit thanks man. it’s allowed me to be consistent like I was at 25. I’ve not missed a session since starting trikafta so just that alone has helped massively. Add to that the fact that it’s much easier to gain and maintain weight now with fewer calories and with no sputum to manage appetite is through the roof. Strength up as well so all in all, it’s been amazing. I put a bit of workout content on my IG @m4rccotterill on stories every few days if you want to check it out or chat!

@@MarcCotterill I've been doubting to join instagram, and when I did, I got confronted with the "happy pictures" my dad posts, who is someone that is no longer a part of my life since he never supported any of use realy, so I kinda left as fast as I joined, which is kinda sad... (dont know how to block etc, IG is new to me) With all you just said, thats very promising...! Naussia from mucus is indeed a big appetit killer... My sinusses are kinda F'ed, so waking up in the morning feels more like being stuffed then hungry, if you know what I mean... Current bodyweight is 62kg, and my bench press is 100kg for 9 reps... so I can't wait to get on the new stuff... Hopefully I can get a layer of fat so I won't freeze again in next winter :p Anyway, I'll be here... And maybe, depending how much I want to grow, I might join IG again,... (it's just that I don't like the things social media throws at you as if you needed those fake things like on facebook) Much support from Belgium 👋👋
