i'm a huge fan of bigger kits of old. i think too many drummers no matter how talented are starting to (more like have been) sound the same. i think they need to up the tonal ante and start bringing more roto toms, different snares (as mentioned by you), and a shitload of cymbals. that whole minimalist 4 piece setup got old already.

@@LadyFairChildVideo I literally just came here after watching a PunkRock MBA video on the history of blast beats and yes, I do have to agree. I like different pitch and variety in drumming when I’m listening to a song. The older drum sounds were a lot more raw, like this band. I think drumming is such an underrated element in metal today. Most bands drums are over processed and lack a punch or presence in the mix.

Such a little thing that adds so much.

Drown in Havoc or Nuklearth for me but they're all pretty fuckin great with the exception of the third track which is eh.

To me it's basically whole album but love Atomb, Uran Breath, Dominus, Soul Harvester, Coast of Lies and Quarantine Fortress are straight up murder on this album. On repeat I don't even know how many times already.
