I was wearing a helmet but it was my brothers and missing the foam pad at the top of the skull. 45 years later and i still do not remember that ride on the damp post summer shower trails. I bent the forks and wrecked the front rim. All was repaired and i rode again. I bought that bike from a sponsored motocross racer for $750 bucks. I dont know what he did but that bike would come alive like a dose of nitrous oxide when it hit its powerband. It was most at home in the pits when you could go all out and get the adrenelyn flowing keeping it in its powerband. I am sorry i sold it due to having a wife and a kid. sold it to a friend and it was subsequently stolen out from him. If i saw it today i would recognise it from its laid down red white and blue shocks , its left side expansion chamber. and its chain tensioner. I am 66 now but i wouldnt hesitate to jump on it and go nuts.
The 250 CZ and 250 Maico ruled the late '60's and most of the 70's. Then the Honda Elsinore came along!! I had a 1978 Yamaha YZ250 that was at times terrifyingly fast! Exilerating is the better word! Now I'm 66 and the wife says NO WAY to me getting a bike...

motor je origo, jen převodovka je čtyřrychlostní místo pěti, mazaná hypoidním olejem. Karburátor bing opatřen membránovým sáním. Kanály ve válci trochu líznuté , hlavně výfukový+ nějaké to okénko v kovaném pístu wossner navíc.. Filtr molitan. Sekundární převod v předu 14, vzadu 54. mix oleje s benzínem v poměru 1:33 . Zapalování těžké, klasické. Motor funguje spolehlivě už čtvrtým rokem, ale to nejlepší už má za sebou..........
