i love this video, even 3 years later! ”the times are a changin”; i paid $750 for my aluminum alloy frame p-01 and i enjoy every penny of it! roast me in the comments for panic buying this beautiful gem during a pandemic (after the riots i got into firearms and my ccw, I live in St. Paul, work in Minneapolis often) figured im a responsible enough tax paying citizen why not? car jackings are up like 140% in my area why be a victim?!?
Pretty much the same here. Different state though. I have a P10F so I wanted to go metal this time. I've seen them for around 675+ in my area. After holding one it felt great. Can't stand the sights on my P10 so as mentioned in sure I'll have to change these out. I do need more training before I plan to carry for the first time. But the P01 will be my choice.
Same price where I live. I saw one at a local gun store in OD Green! Here in NJ you have to apply for handgun permits to own one, and right now, at least where I live, the process can take 3 months. So I sit here and drool and try to be patient.
Same here on a P01, but adding another 300 with the Pro Package internals and work, and getting straight from Cajun Gun Works. Word is out how damn good these are. Buy once, cry once.
I just picked up my first CZ P01 off gunbroker. Have to say I absolutely love the look and feel of this gun. It’s so ergonomic it feels like it’s molded to my hands. I just ordered a set of LOK Matrix Grips in Black for it. Probably going to send it to Cajun Gun Works later on to have the Pro Package done. Great review and comparison sir!!
The first pistol of my modern era was a P10F. I followed that with a SigSauer P365XL and a P10S in short order, then got the N+1 bug and obtained a Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 subcompact, and eventually what seemed a pretty good price on a Shield 9. Of course, between the N+1 rule and my own curiosity, I wasn't done, and I got a used P10C, only to find it had the older ambi mag release. The Apex Tactical mag release was worth the money to me, and the P10C became my EDC. But I still wondered about the DA/SA concept. I found a decent price on a P07, and I found myself more comfortable with one in the pipe with the DA/SA trigger. The Omega trigger is great and all, so I watched for a P09 as my OWB carry, and couldn't help but getting that. Eventually, I wanted to try the alloy-framed CZ pistols. Because my budget for guns was running thinner, I decided that I would get one more, then stop buying for a while. I considered the P01, the P01 Omega, and the 75D PCR. While I like the Picatinny rail on the P01, I decided I was less likely to attach a light on the dust cover and more likely to want the sights that came on the PCR. Having shot the PCR and the Omega trigger on TWO pistols (my P07 and my P09), the PCR feels better to me. I'll keep my P09 for when I'm carrying OWB/openly (it has a red dot sight, and I'm dealing with age-related Presbyopia...), but for EDC, I'm going with the basics, and the PCR just works better in a rapid unholster/press/shoot drill for me compared to the P07. Would I do as well with a P01? Perhaps. It's still a great piece, and if the gun budget allows, I'll probably have one eventually.
+Peter Weldon both are excellent the p01 is just classic awesome and fits the hand excellently. The p07 more of a classic with a modern design. Overall the p01 is just for me. But the price of the p07 is excellent
Peter Weldon in my opinion that i have both if i have to pick one I’ll pick the p01 it’s alloy frame and its nato aprove . Thats my daily carry . Just get a good holster for it and you are good to go ..

I love my green P-01, when I was trying to decide actually between the two of them P-07 felt like it had sand in the trigger, definitely agree on the P01 your finger naturally wants to go perfectly onto the curved trigger
Cannot carry here in Los Angeles County so I decided on a SP-01. I know I cannot take advantage of the full 18 round magazine but it will serve as my home defense, range gun, and shtf weapon.
I bought my p01 early this year and put the same sights on..freakin awsome...shot at 5 yards the size of a half dollar group....just bought the p07 last week and just about the same results but a little low left...i adjusted the 07 sights can't wait to try it out....have the pcr which shoots just like the 01 but need try glows on it.... All three I will keep till I die...going to get the rami next...awsome awsome guns....love the video and agree 100%
I dig the new mat! Makes for great lighting. As for the CZs... gotta go with the p07! Lol, a cotton ball frame gun... light and absorbent. Great stuff brother!
I just bought a fully pro-package Cajunized P01 and paid about double what he's talking here- 3-1/2 years ago! And those were stock prices without improved internals and buttery machining by Cajun Gun Works. And they weren't in this high-priced gun-demic either.. Those prices are history! :-(
I keep my carry in a safe in the car, so in the winter the P01 is so damn cold to put on.. That’s why I’ve switched to P07 for winter carry cuz it doesn’t get nearly as cold and warms up fast.
I got P-07 and the PCR and yes the feel of the alloy gun is awesome, I was worried when I first got the 07 it didn't feel right but after a few hundred rounds and now it's a tack driver.
catfishblues87 ....i have the p01 and put the rubber base plate on and it fits so much better....my pinky would rap around the metal base so I put the rubber base on....alot better
Every person who has ever handled a CZ, small frame, big frame.... Huge hands small hands fat fingers or skinny, all same the exact same thing! I feel like this was made for me. They knocked it outta the park way back in 75 ;)
+ShotgunMikey81 no the mags on the p01 will work with any 75 compacts the p07 is intercnageable with the p10 as long as you have the newer mags for the p07
I have the PCR and P-07. They're both my favorite pistols. Can't pick a winner between the two. PCR is like my baby, P-07 is a tank. My Inox stainless 92fs is coming this Friday though I can't wait.
Both are awesome. My brother owns a P-01 Tactical, and I own a P-07. The P-01 Tactical feels like a tank and looks beautiful, the P-07 although not as pretty just feels like it wants to be shot. I Love my P-07! I would never traded it, just upgraded it.
I own both of these and they are great firearms. Love em both and you will too once you get one. I own too many CZ'S a weapon you can trust your life with.
You say you like the p01s sights cuz they go all the way to the back of the slide. Well the front sight is like an inch long pretty much negates the value of the rear sight reaching the back of the slide, it makes the p07 sight radius better in this instance. If sight radius was something you value why wouldn't you choose different sights? Plus they're ugly as shit!
Don't know if it's CZ blasphemy but Tristar/Canik have C100 & P100 series of the P01 for about $200 less. I have both P01/P07 already. Can't decide which is best. I wanted a 75 compact to complete the series and am happy with a 95% clone. Also, the Tristar is safety only, like the 75 compact.
I've had two P-07's over the years, looking to get another one, please let me know where I can pick up a new p-07 for under $400.00. The best I've seen is $454. I have several CZ'S P-01, 75B full size & compact, and of course the P-10C.
Definitely 2 great pistols, I own both except my po1 is an omega version. For whatever reason I shoot my p01 better then my p07 ( probably the Cajun gun works internals) but I prefer to carry my p07 it's just more comfortable to me for some reason. I'd be interested in to hear your opinion in a p07, p10c camparison video. I'm still on the fence about buying that pistol. But anyway great video dude. 👍👍
