Hey, quick question, how are you managing the allied guarantees? I have tried this a few times now, and Britain ALWAYS puts a guarantee on Yugoslavia. How did you dodge it?
Just so you know that romanian city Timisoara is pronounced like Timishoara same for the Brasov and Bucuresti and the t is pronounced tz in the name of Galati and Constanta.Btw l like your videos. Hello from Romania!!
Well he ain't wrong. Heck, the Slovaks of interwar Czechoslovakia were outnumbered by its Sudeten Germans. They weren't even the second most populous group despite being represented in the nation's name.
Association of Autonomous States is one of my favourite formable names. The name just begs for a world conquest campaign or at least a mainland Europe conquest. Makes me imagine some anarcho-communist type of deal.
I as bulgaria swallowed entire balkans with istanbul and austria hungary. And cored it all, i know have 87 million people 380 factories and i am Black evil United Balkan Federation. It's like from 1984
30:26 this reminds me of Chinese General that ask God for rain after long drought, but they never come and just shot an artillery to sky cause he's mad with God and the next day the rains come
I think the reason for Czechoslovakia being able to restore Austria-Hungary is because in the 19th century there was a movement of Austroslavism in Czechia which called for the federalization of Austria-Hungary rather then for its dissolvement.
No it's because any country that Austria Hungary gets the entirety of the cores of (Croatia, Austria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Bosnia I think) can form it. Just as any nation that Arabia cores can form Arabia.
@@danielhollick1708 Ingame yes but historically its weird as Czechs hated Habsburg monarchy (1620, 1848 revolts) enough for tens of thousands of them going to fight their fellow countrymen on the side of Entente for the independence of Czechoslovakia etc. the hatred goes quite deep as Czechs were oppressed by non-slavic culture ( from 16th until 19th century you wouldnt be able to talk someone in Prague with the Czech language as everyone talked in german, schools were entirely only in german same with any literature), religion (only Catholic church was allowed anything other was heresy which for Czechs who were half protestants wasnt the best thing) so with all of this for anyone with this little context it must feel weird for Czechoslovakia being able to form Austria-Hungary.
@@Astram2k24 Yes but Czechs only had a representatives in Vienna and they werent on the same level as either Austrians or Hungarians who had their own parlaments and institutions. That was one of the goal of Austroslavism for Czechoslovakia to have freedom of self-governance similar to what Hungarians had. If I were to compare i would say its similar to as if Greece was able to form Ottoman Empire because a lot of Greeks actually held high-ranking positions in the Empire and were part of it for few hundreds od years.
I did a Czechoslovak game a few days ago, and you actually need to be occupying Cambera while at war with the allies for the achievement to be completed. You need to occupy Cambera before the UK capitulates
When you put your navy on naval invasion support it sallies out to help ANY combat along the coast, not just naval invasions. Also the reason the Japanese navy disappeared is probably because Bittersteel’s ships damaged their fleet enough to make them retire the fleet for repairs.
The Czechoslovak communist tree is pretty decent. Interestingly, it even references "socialism with humane characteristics," which Czechoslovakia tried to put into place during the Prague Spring, in an attempt to reform without trying to upset the Soviets.
There is also this quest in Millennium Dawn. It is possible with Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. I have found that at Millennuim Dawn it is very difficult to revive the Austro-Hungarian Empire. I was close to beating it once but the game kept crashing so I had to start over. It used to be the case that your vassal states produced AI infantry until they ran out of men and weapons. You could then request these troops and suddenly have a gigantic army. But after an update, it doesn't seem to work anymore and so it's now somehow impossible for me to achieve it. Maybe you would like to try this.
36:35 Beyond being funny, since Japan survived it would’ve probably been wise to declare on them again, before the war on the west, just so you could capture the navy they undoubtably retained.
so I have tried this run about 4 times now. 3 out of 4 times, France guarantees Yugo when I am ready to declare war... I could not identify what went differently in the single run where France did not guarantee, any idea?
This is way too late but France should revoke their guarentee on Yugoslavia when they do the "Buy Time" focus that allows them to ally Britain afterwards in the next focus. It's usually mid-early '37.
Hey Bittersteel, every time I finish "Trust in the West" the Allies are guaranteeing the independence of both Romania and Jugoslavia... Did they patch it since your video or what happend here? :(
I swear... every time I see the aftermath of a peace conference it makes me think "Man am I glad I use player led peace conferences. Screw achievements."
I have an idea; play Germany but don't invade Poland (at least not at first), go the "Danzig for Slovakia" path and proceed to immediately guarantee Poland and then prepare for War with USSR. Do a Heavy Tank based army (not "Heavy Tank only", its stupid, but produce Heavy Tanks with high reliability and hardness with hospitals as support groups). This way you don't have to fight the Allies (at least not at first). Anyway, I jut think its an interesting playthough.
Amazing video as Czechoslovakia restoring the empire! I love your videos! However, can you do an updated Miklos Horthy and the Habsburg prince achievement guide? The only ones I can find are outdated and I’m having a lot of trouble. If you could thanks,
Was this the video the poll regarding the not-so-great guide or was that another one? I like seeing things not go according to plan because it's fun to see how the game can be recovered.
Watching you not only redo guides, but also watching you do disaster saves is reinvigorating my love for the game and inspiring me to begin recording similar content when I can get a new/better pc!

Just run through my Czech game recently. Unfortunately this guide is inaccurate for the "Czechmate" achievement, due to it's requirements being occupation whilst being at war with the allies, if you take Canberra in the peace deal the achievement doesn't fire. The move to make this work was just to naval invade Australia after your war with Japan.
Hungary at the beginning of the game must be feeling irritated. "You sent in militias to stop my Soviet Republic from being a long-lasting country, only to turn communist yourselves?!?!?! Pick a godsdamn side!"
very nice thing to do ! I wanted to try it and realised that if you do it while being fascist, its a lot easier because Germany never attacks you even if you dont give sudetelands
Czechmate achievement says you must occupy New South Wales while at war with democratic Britain. I don't think claiming it in a peace deal would count for that one, meaning you must take the state before capitulating the major nations. Hard to tell given they used a mod and probably have the achievement already.
Austrian Painter watching Czechoslovakia convince all the austrian, hungarian, slovenian, croatian, and bosnian-hezergovenian people that they are austro-hungarian and suddenly turn the tide:
I have some content ideas for you, Why dont you make some guides for the classical major countries with different and unusual styles and strategies? Like as the soviets fallback to stalingrad then just go full infantry assault with grand battleplan doctrine.
The USA, while the entire Eastern Hemisphere and (presumably at the end) Canada turn communist: "Nothing to see here... everything is totally fine. Everything is going to be absolutely fiiinnnneee"
