@@mwworkman watch Traums performance of this etude and hear the parts from 0:16 and 3:12 To me the melodies sound kinda familiar, but I am not sure. It could probably be a cziffra impro mixup with the melody of the etude but idk
As a jazz player Mr. Cziffra was compared with Art Tatum. He even mentions jamming with a US big band playing "Tiger Rag"...I wonder what his version of "Tiger Rag" sounded like.
Cziffra is the only pianist's whose casual playing is so virtuosic that it makes me laugh when I hear him play. So absurd and out of reach for the rest of us
