NO WAY, NOT MONTE CARLO! HE SPEAKS TO THE PUBLIC ON HUNGARIAN AND THE PUBLIC ANSWERS ON HUNGARIAN, TOO. THE PIANO IS IN THE TEMPLE BEFORE THE ALTAR, THE MONO RECORDING TECHNICIAN IS BEHIND CZIFFRA, THE PUBLIC WEARS CLOTHES SIGNIFICANT FOR HUNGARIAN CONCERT AUDIENCY DURING MIDDLE 80's. THE RECORDING WAS MADE UNDER MAGYAR RÁDIÓ 3, LATER CALLED AS BARTÓK RÁDIÓ.
@EasyListeningLounge - I think this might be caused by a SECAM to PAL/NTSC video transfer. When I transferred French SECAM videos of famous French pianists to PAL in the early 1990s they used to end up in black and white, which was a pain in the b*tt, as I recall.

This video was most likely shot in color, but the fact that it is now in B&W, may be the result of a SECAM to PAL/NTSC video transfer. When I transferred French SECAM videos of famous French pianists to PAL in the early 1990s, they always ended up in black and white, which was quite annoying as I recall. The French like to develop their own technology early on (Minitel, Secam, Airbus, Phonautograph, Baguette), but they don't always manage to set a global standard, unfortunately. Just like Canada with its square wheels! 😉
