New York based D.C. LaRue has been recording and performing since 1974 but it was his track “Cathedrals” in ’76 that really got him noticed amongst the heavy weight disco releases of the time. The double A-side 12" single of "Cathedrals" was one of the earliest commercially available 12" singles and went on to hit number 1 on the Billboard Dance Music Club and Disco Single charts.
Subsequent singles “Overture” and “Indiscreet” both topped out at number 2 on the Billboard Dance Music Club charts and “Indiscreet” became an influential track in the hip hop sampling world.
Fast forward to the present day and armed with digital transfers of the original master tapes, Z Records has commissioned remixes of these classic tracks plus “Let Them Dance” and “Do You Want The Real Thing”.
Released over two limited edition picture sleeve 12’s pressed exclusively for Record Store Day 2018, the remixes come from Idjut Boys, Ron Basejam, Dr Packer, Folamour, JKriv and Joey Negro.
