D&D Critical Role Animation Funny Scene- Grog Hides Unconscious Guards (Ep 90)

I think my favorite part of any derailed Critical Role moment is Taliesin's hysterical laughter in the background.

Grog's immediate reaction was to kill everyone and everything and I love that.

Constitution saving roll = saving himself from throwing up _Ends up throwing up after walking outside._

I think the noodly panic arms were my favourite part.

This is one of the better animations of this scene I've seen

The dice rolling animation was awesome XD

That does it. Critcal Role has just made my list of animated television series' that should DEFINITELY happen! Yes! Dreams do come true!!😭

This animation is why I started watching Critical Role, and I just got to the episode where this happens... hilarious.

My only CRITicism is that you didn't include them going outside where Tary immediately vomits.

I really wan to have an episode where Matt just finishes what happens to many of these characters after Vox Machina leaves. There are so many gems that are like this!

I just wanted to comment to say that this was my first introduction to critical role back in early 2020, when I overheard my partner watching it and laughing, and HAD to see what was going on. I didn't even know how D&D worked back then, but now I've watched all the campaigns and am such a fan, but STILL always come back to this animation!!! We literally quote "for the rest of the day" maybe on a daily basis. Best first introduction to something EVER. Thank you!!

Oh goodness - I can't stop watching this. I watch it every break and lunch at work. "They're terrible guards and they made horrible life choices!" The perfect barbarian voice paired up with a persona that believes he is smartest one and should make all the decisions, haha!

Oh the adventures of Sam and Travis!!! I love those two. Oh, and spoilers... ... ... ... ... ... ... This scene is made all the more hilarious when you realize this will be Grog's tutor.

I've watched this scene several times from different sources every time and loved it. But it wasn't until this one, just now, that I realized the series of events lends itself to the idea that because Sam had Tary push the shopkeep's buttons, Matt may have said "well then, Doty is gonna get into some shit"; after all, if they had just taken it and left, there wouldn't have been an opportunity for Matt to narrate the sounds and the entrance of the pseudo-golem. This whole golden moment may have never happened had they not pushed for gift-wrapping.

Was just shown this video on r/criticalrole on reddit and cried even harder than when I watched the real video. You are awesome.,

Thanks to the CR comment section for linking this video. I hadn't dived this far down in the old Puffin Forest videos and thus hadn't stumbled across it. Instead I was watching this episode of CR1 and saw a comment referring to the cartoon. It's so weird watching this. I keep expecting Ben's voice looking at the animation, but I'm hearing Matt, Travis and Sam.

This animation randomly showed up on my feed 5 years ago. I knew nothing about Critical Role, or DnD at the time. I laughed so much on this animatic, that I looked up what this is about. Got immediately hooked on CR and consequently om DnD. And now it's several campaigns and games later for me, some I DMed, some I played. So Thank you, for making this animatic and getting me hooked on this amazing show, and this amazing hobby, through which I got to meet some of my closest friends!

Sound only plays on the left side after 3:45. But other than that, this was great!

The way Matt said "okay" when Grog punches them for good measure is what really broke me

It's even funnier considering everything else in this episode leading up to this point had serious plot implications and personal development for characters. This is a prime example of comedic relief.

Okay someone help. Seriously. I looked up DnD constitution stat. But I still have the question: if you make a constitution saving throw when your intimidating friend is forcing you to vomit, does the natural 20 make it impossible to throw up, or are you able to gag yourself perfectly??

in the last few years of watching these kinds of videos puffins are the best. i love his art style.

For the record Ben, this is the best animated version of this scene I've watched. Watching the actual episode, I can appreciate the DM's job, because Matt had a look of incredulous fascination, fear, and happiness all in the matter of minutes.

This is *WAY* funnier than any cartoon currently on air (except for Archer, the writing and acting on that thing is just... unearthly good). I've just gotten into DnD and Critical Role is one of the reasons. I'm only on episode 30. I saw this video in my suggested videos and decided to watch it anyway. I don't know if I ever laughed so hard. I can't wait to see more critical role now.

I watch this and didn’t realize it was animated by puffin forest until about half way through, which just made it better

Thanks you bastard, I may have heard of Critical Role in passing but had never seen anything of it until this video. I have now watched 4 episodes of campaign 1 (plus 3 one offs) and 18 episodes of campaign 2. I used to have free time, now I don't, because I am trying to catch up to a show that averages 3 and a half hours per episode and has over 400 hours of content, just in the first campaign. This is going to be a while.

My most favorite video you have ever made! And my Most favorite moment from critical role. Lol.
