@@snappingshrimp235 I have never seen a tree stalk across the forest and take a bite out of some poor soul that never even saw it coming. Nor have I ever seen a tree fire lightning from its limbs. I stand by my previous statement.
@@sleepinghermit7778 Well, after reading your points, i agree in your statement that Druids are the Personification of nature. I apologise if my stupid joke annoyed you in any way because i understand that the common memes when comes to the classes are usually horrible and annoying. Not all Bard are horni as heck, not all Druids are Furries and not all Paladins are warhammer's space marine like minded. Again those stereotypes are bullshit but for the context of this parody i thought that my T R E E joke was in a right place.
Rouge: 'sniff 'sniff' I smell a free sneak attack Sorcerer: you thought I was the wizard but it was I knock off. Monk: clickity clackity I make my four attackitys
Circle of the wild fire. Want to burn everything in sight while still being a part of nature's grand and beautiful plan? Want an anime stand / punching ghost? Want to piss off every other druid and get to rub it in their face that death and destruction is a nature cycle of plant life? Well have I got the subclass for you!
This is something that has resonated with me since my first trip to Yellowstone, where the guide was telling us there's 2 types of fire in the park, the first being man made and must be extinguished quickly before causing to much damage , and the 2nd being natural (for example lightning) in which the park rangers orders are to let it burn until it goes out on its own because that's what nature intended
"Looking at you, Paladin." ...uh, I'm an Oath of Ancients pally. I'm like a druid if its balls dropped, started lifting weights, and got a job in the National Guard.
>Be us learning to play dnd including dm >second session >party:let’s split up >party: dies brutally one at a time >dm: ok let’s just start over >party: new rule, buddy system, always have a friend >us 4 years later still using this rule
So many forget or straight up don't read, however the druid is often a class that is a lawyer. Lobbying to prevent cutting of certain trees. Or a forrest soldier that will work with cities to keep out citizens and keep biodiversity alive. But also cities often have druid delegates that they use to get those hiding in the forrest to escape law and return them to city justice. Many druids would live in cities. They also would be the green house operators, terrace farmers. Essentially a druid is like a conservation/fish&game agent. Originally the dnd druid was a base class and bard was the subclass. This is based of actual history. Druids were lawmakers, religious leaders, doctors, negotiators, arbiters. It's took them 20 years to learn all of their profession. A druid younger than 35(partially the reason our presidents have to be this minimal age) was seen as too young to be wise enough to lead and guide the world. They would meet in secret locations in vast groves that a druid maintained. Each druid completed their life lessons when their grove was whole. They practiced ceremony in many fashions. Human sacrifice is but one. Their staffs of medicinal magic was made from holly. "Hollywood". You can still see the druids influences on society today. Bards such as Robert Burns my ancestor were an evolution of the Druid in history. Bards would learn 3 to 6 songs that lasted upwards of 30mins. They would memorize the song verbatim every comma, period, pause, inflection, tone, word, and more. They learned the history nehind each verse. Memorized it 100% to complete a bardship you'd take 20 years. This practiced has died in public. So with this knowledge you don't have to be a tree hugger acorn soup eater. Be a lawyer, doctor, a urban gardener, lobby to improve trail in forrest to reduce forrest wandering and thus unnecessary forrest destruction, help build water channels to cities to prevent more water pollution. Be a royal farm magician and use plant growth as a ritual to enrich the kings harvest. Keeping the citizens happy but also the gardens beautiful and more enriching the city with nature. Build plant mazes and walking gardens. Drive out bad mice populations. Be a druid. Not a hippy 😊
Druid is probably my most liked class. Currently playing a high level actic druid Duregar specializing in AOE. Favorite spell? Wall of thorns reflavored as wall of ice spikes, or rather two of them cus the party gave me a ring allowing me to concentrate on 2 spells at once
Option 3: You're waiting for Circle of Spores. A few levels later: I Looked Into Nature, And Nature Looked Into Me. I Am The Bad Wolf. I Create Myself. I Take The Goodberries. I Scatter Them In The Party. A Bonus Action To Lead Myself To Victory. I Want You safe. My Cleric. Protected From The False Gods. They Are Tiny. I Can See The Whole Of Life And Death. Every Single Atom Of Our Fallen Enemies, And I Infect Them. Everything Must Come To Dust. All Things. Everything Dies. The Astral War Ends. I Bring Life. I Hold The Power Of The Sun And The Moon. The Day And Night. I Can See Everything. All That Is. All That Was. All That Ever Could Be. Yet still... my head is killing me. God damn parasite. Where's Cleric Who when you need him? Why can't I just infect the parasite with zombie mold and kill it from the inside?! Geeze...
@@JadeBlades098 yeah, druid takes awhile to go beast mode. In 3.5 it takes till 5th level turn into a small thing. But like all casters with the right dm and and some creativity they can be crazy
Maybe if you're super vanilla to the game. I have so many druids and none of them are tight-asses. If you wanna play a cliché, that's your prerogative.
