I'm a big dumby that forgot something I wanted to throw out there. The Shadow Sorcerer has a 14th level ability called Shadow Walk - I know since its just four levels off, I can see argument for just going for it because it would be nice, however... I felt that it wasn't at all worth a 14 level investment at all, compared to what else we gain through the Rogue and the Cleric. As well, the shadow monk gain something like this waaaay sooner... Instead, I had mentioned how I planned on leveling this character - tl;dr, in service of the raven queen, gaining classes after I do something for her. This could be an interesting thing to bring up and discuss with your DM, because I feel like this 14th lvl ability would make for a beautiful level 20 boon for this character - it could be a reward for completing some epic level quest or whatever, but it is worth considering.

I am a big fan of this build. I was hoping to build something like this as well.

Hey thanks for the build ;) One thing tho, Shadow Blade creates a blade in your hand. It doesn't add the psychic dmg to a wep you are currently wielding.

either something to showcase the fact that you have a strong amount of intellect, artificer, wizard or something to enhance what they may lack physically which barbarian would go well since there isn't the issue of raging while beast form for ghostslayer. Would consider zealot, more radiant damage, or can get some necrotic in as well, fits the theme from ghostslayer; all of this depends on what stats you rolled/distributed of course so in that regards, can say i have no idea atm

@@thedruidicbjorn5431 I have a 20 in dexterity, 17 in constitution, 15 strength and 14's in intelligence, wisdom, and charisma if that helps at all and thanks for the advice in advance

@@samuelthurmond1463 it does, thanks! knowing how high your dex is, could easily just go rogue to whatever level really and you'd gain a few skills, expertise, and sneak attack, and honestly a lot of their archetypes fit pretty well into the Blood hunter. Barb is still great since you'd have like an 18 AC unarmoured with that high of a dex and con, and gaining rage is still great and possibly even looking at some of their archetypes, only need three levels to gain a fair amount from it. Wizard would be okay ish, but your int isn't the highest which is fine; atm you're an elf so you coudl take bladesinger which could give a plus 2 ac from your int modifier, so that plus say studded leather: 12+5+2 = 19 is still higher ac, but you'd be just one short as a barb and no halving damage, esp if you go totem... theres a lot of cool options for multiclassing tbh, you have some amazing scores. as an offshoot you could just go bard and go loremaster and focus on skills and being the parties information spewer, still fitting for a blood hunter (information keeps you alive)... theres a lot of possibilities. If optimizing matters enough to you, ask yourself what your group is lacking, being that info dump , face, tanky fuck... but just have fun. Got some amazing rolls to do whatever really

Epic stats mean you don't need to optimise! 21 AC from full plate, with enough strength for no movement penalty cause 15 str, a 20 in main atk stat and 18 con. All that with only one ASI since level 1 which you may have used for a feat for all I know! Did you start as fighter for the heavy armor Prof.? This is far from suboptimal :P
