DM Rebuttal: The spell stipulates that the plants become “overgrown”. This can mean growing beyond their size, but it can also mean being covering in plants. One day people will realize there is a difference between creative spell use and being an asshole to your DM. Attempting to Plant Growth a tree inside someone very cleanly falls into the latter.
13:00 Alternatively the villain becomes a man-tree hybrid using necromantic and druidic magic like an ent possessed by evil wizard Or whatever else your villain is: tree-ghost barbarian, tree-ghost nobleman, etc.

13:00 That is not how plant growth works, plus based on how the sentence was worded for eating the acorns, they couldn't grow anyways. Based off the wording the acorns would have been chewed making them growing impossible. Also plan growth does not make a seed (Which an acorn is a seed) sprout and then grow, it only grows the plants already sprouted. Not to mention if you did have some way to argue both those points, the stomach acid would also make it impossible unless you cast growth while they were on the way down.

So I like clerics, but wanted to try necromancies, so I asked my grandfather to see if it would work, and he said no as the counteracted each other, so my grandma, who was right next to him, responded with “what if they’re different personalities?” So now I have a super nice and polite necromancies, and a “I know you need healing, but why should I heal *you* specifically?” Cleric
I'd hate to be that guy but... since the Cleric rolled a nat 1 on Divine Intervention, doesn't that mean that it succeeded and his Deity responds? I thought you're supposed to aim for equal or lower than your Cleric level.
