Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! I'm curious if you're familiar with older edition D&D psionics, or if this UA has been your introduction to the concept?
I am used to psionics through other mediums than D&D, first time** with D&D for sure - I have looked at a few here and there with psionics but not fully invested myself, so I don't count it, any suggestions where I should look it sounds like?
@@thedruidicbjorn5431 It's interesting seeing the perspective of someone without a previous edition's assumptions. D&D psionics have appeared (mostly quite differently than presented in this playtest) in: 1. The AD&D Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide. 2. The Complete Book of Psionics for 2nd edition. 3. The Expanded Psionics Handbook for 3.5. 4. Player's Handbook 3 for 4e. 5. And in 5e in things like the mind flayer and aboleth stat blocks in the Monster Manual, and Great Old One warlock patron.
@@Dan-Dillon lol I bet it is, I'll certainly be looking those ones up myself tomorrow, I generally love the idea with psionics in other places and would love to introduce more of it in my campaigns. Thanks bud!
