Goblins are cool. They’re a classic d&d monster for low level combat. I’ve never played a goblin but we’ve had a dm that had a goblin that rode a flying broom and threw alchemist fire. Naturally he took that from the Green Goblin from Spider-Man.

You know I love the green goblin. Personally I think the green goblin makes a better eldritch knight with unarmed combat and the eldritch claw tattoo

I like that Goblins are Rogue-lite, making incredible builds. They make great use of Skulker, leaning towards exceptional Rangers or even Spell Attackers. Can't Counterspell someone you can't see.

I love the pathfinder style goblin design. It gives them a feral but cute look. I actually like the idea that goblinoids are fey. It makes sense for my games.

It’s where the come from in real life lore, so I can get that. I just guess if there was some lore really explaining it you know ? Maybe magubliet purged there history so no one could go back to the fey to strengthen there ties to there old dead gods and find the strength to revolt, or something you know?

@@TheSinisterheroes the current lore has the hobgoblin as the parent species and the goblin and bugbear as descendants. For a fey ancestry it would make more sense if a more goblinish creature (think eldarin or leshay) were the fey ancestry. Then hobgoblin and bugbear could be dominate half breeds. I run that every species has a homeworld where they developed. And inter-planar or spelljamming travel brought them to other worlds.

Goblin is one of my favorite races. I was skeptical of the Fey thing as well, however when I did some research on the Unseelie Court, it’s easy to imagine Bugbears, Hobgoblins, and Goblins as darker versions of Fey

I had my soulknife goblin decide that putting on a smile and not let the world beat him down was the most rebellious thing he could do because was harder than just being angry. So he went around being charming and friendly. A lot of people still treated him like dirt, but he met some people who honestly gave him a chance too. He considered sweet talking his way into success oddly more satisfying than just stabbing people. Handsome Kyp, as he was called, was a lot of fun.

My favorite thing about that was the lore behind how goblins are treated stayed the same, but the character was unique and refreshing. Handsome Kyp shared the same treatments all other goblins faced, but with a little bit of clear thought and personal motivations, Kyp ended up a once in a life time character.

I made a goblin that i never got to play because the campain had fell through, an evil echo knight who inherited the echo from a hero ancester, character would eventualy turn good after seeing the weight of what the ancester had done to save people with the power they were now abusing

Great concept. People get so caught up in goblins being rogues it really limits the scope of what they can do.

My first dnd game and l chose noble goblin druid. I have no idea what I’m doing but it’s very fun.

I really enjoyed being a Druid. I had a lot of fun. It is difficult because there’s just a lot of reading required to really grasp the Druid as a base class. I am glad to see that you’re enjoying it. The Druid can do so much. Depending on your subclass you can use the Druid in a lot of different ways. I really feel like the Druid gets better the more experience you have with it. Having fun is key to the Druid if you really enjoy it keep reading there abilities, there will be a point where it will just like click and you’ll see how it could work in unique ways. Also noble goblin is pretty dope! Top hat and monocle a scepter one of those snazzy mustaches.
