Le quedó bonita. Lo que mas me gustó fue el detalle de ir colocando todos los materiales que utilizó y el valor de ellos. Gracias y felicitaciones. 👍👍👍
You killed it! That looks gorgeous I love the fact it’s light weight perfect design for trailers with wood paneling walls thank you for sharing super cheap to make love your channel.
Thanks for this, I am about to embark on the redecoration of my bedroom and I wanted a window treatment that was affordable( as I am on a budget ) and easy to do. This will work!
Looks great man but remember if the cornice board doesn't have a top it won't do perform the actual function of preventing convective heat loss in the winter.
thank you.. it was a cheap and affordable way to dress up my window as well as hide the ugly screw holes in the wall which once held some dated heavy metal blinds.
is the adhesive coming off the wall as well? you may have to wipe the wall down with rubbing alcohol to throughly clean the wall so that the adhesive creates a tight bond to the wall.. if its not the adhesive and the cornice seems to heavy and detaching itself from the velcro on the wall then you may need to reinforce it with a stronger velcro ar add more velcro fasteners to the fall and brackets so that there is extra weight support. you may also try creating a wider /longer (from top to bottom of cornice) bracket portion that sticks flush to the wall. the goal is that if the cornice seems to heavy then you would need to adjust/change the size of the bracket portion that sticks flush to the wall with the velcro.
if its still too heavy... attach an additional strip piece of styrofoam board (maybe 2 inches wide) across and behind the cornice..(bracket to bracket, left to right side.) with hot glue. attach velcro to the back of this piece and along the wall.. that should hold it in place and be sure to place the strip piece towards top of cornice so that you cannot see the strip of styrofoam board from the bottom of the cornice. (hopefully you understand what i am trying to explain)
also check the depth of the bracket. if the cornice extends too far out then it will add a lot of weight. i would say no more than 2 inches from the wall would be a good depth measurement.
haha.. you're right! I used the term valance because most people can remember and can relate to window valance rather than cornice. If'when i make another video i'll be sure to use both terms. : )
