Hehehehe Daesung didn't write it. GD is the one who wrote and composed it. Actually this song's chorus was created in just few minutes right before our eyes on the spot all those years ago. BIGBANG was rookie at the time, they were in variety show and they had to impress a girl named Gwisoon so she would choose one of them. Both Daesung and GD were rejected and she chose Seungri. So GD just made up and sang "Look at me, Gwisoon" right there. This song genre is actually called Trot, which is a korean traditional folk genre. Daesung likes trot so GD gifted him a whole trot album. This song and his another trot "Big hit" are HUGE in korea! "Look at me, Gwisoon" is so iconic and loved by everyone even idols sing it. D-Lite is Daesung’s stage name in Japan, his solo career is mainly Japanese and out of all the members, he’s the most loved there. This genre is called trot in korea. It's a very specific style in there that is mostly considered uncool. Haha But Dae be slaying.. He really likes trot. This genre of music is called Trot. Trot is popular in Korea but it was pretty much unheard of for idols to do this genre. Daesung released this song and it was really popular. Daesung is really good at singing trot, but most of his solo discography is not trot. I recommend Shut Up as a good example of what his solo music is like. Also the live version of Anymore or Utai No Ballad

This is the japanese version, but in the korean version GD is just over the top shameless. Daesung sings "Wife, Dear, Baby, what should I call you? What is my love doing right now? Did she eat? Did she sleep well? All day I only think about my princess. [...] You're so pretty, you're so sexy. I want to bite you". I just imagine how the real Gwisoon have felt when this song started to play in every street corner in Korea. This was a huge hit there. Gwisoon and Big Hit (GD gave this song to him as well) made Daesung more famous than BigBang at that time. And Dae sings them so well. He's an incredible singer.

Hahaha... Daesung is the original comedic member in BIGBANG. He was on a show called Family Outing and it was the most hilarious show I've seen in my entire life!

I can't remember the full story behind this song but it was GD who came up with this song and gave it to Daesung. It was after some old variety show (if I'm not wrong it was some "dating" thing where they had to impress a girl) in their rookie days. I think it was Seungri who won the challenge. Later the others were asked if they had an another chance what would they do and GD said he'd create a song for her named "Look At Me Gwisun (the girl who was in the show)".

I always feel sorry for him that he hasn't had the optimum chance to raise in fame compared to other BB's members, but maybe it's likely because BB's image is more of hip-hop/ swag kinda thing, while Daesung is best off rock-ballad genre. That is not to compare him with other members or anything, in contrast, I don't see anyone else but him being such a perfect piece in BB. I just wish that he makes use of off-group time to work more on his solo career. He really deserves more recognition, I love his voice and personality so much. I really think his talent contributes to what makes BB the King of K-pop.
