This is definitely one of my favorite Sleep Token songs, and it's a great showcase of the style that II brings on the drums!

Often with Sleep Token songs, I get so wrapped up in the vocals I forget about the absolute god-level drumming.

It's great watching sleep token reactions because for someone who is very picky about what they listen to, I've never had a band that I liked so many songs from and it's great seeing how people react to their music. I had been watching the Rykkerroad ST reactions and while that's a couple guys reacting, now you get the female perspective on it. I love it.

The more you listen the more you realized you didn’t hear. II is the master of filling space with drums. The center focus of the band is lyrics and singing and drums. The guitars and piano are mostly just accessories to bind the others together which I find interesting. Highly recommend listening to each album in order as the lyrics are important to follow on songs, but when you get to TPWBYT, the song Telomeres 🤌🏼 that song is so beautiful and the drumming is so amazing for such a ethereal love song.

Yes! My favorite song! It’s such a banger, it’s just something you can jam and move to, it’s so captivating with II and his drum work, but Vessel delivers such a powerful and melodic vocal it’s almost enchanting. Fun fact during this song live, before the breakdown when Vessel says “Take a bite” the whole crowd screams it and he starts dancing and losing his mind, it’s such a powerful sight You can also look at this as Vessel offering himself to the deity of sleep as he references to take a bite of him as well as other offerings

The drums on this song is the main reason this song is #1 on my list of songs from them, II is an absolute beast on the drums. And i was lucky enough to see them play it live, definitely a must see band

I remember hearing this song soon after it came out because the spotify gods blessed me and put it in my discovery. I have been endlessly impressed with the band across everything they do and i am usually incredibly cynical about new things 💀

Sleep Token was described on another channel as "atmospheric metal" and it has stuck with me ever since. I highly recommend The Summoning as your next ST song. It's what put Sleep Token on the map.

Fun fact, the triangular symbol with the line sticking out at the bottom represents an alchemy crucible. Those are glass melting pot vessels that are used to break down substances. Thats why there are flames in the background also.

This was the first sleep token I ever heard. I stumbled upon it one afternoon on youtube and it was the start of a journy. It blew me away. This song absolutely slaps and it's usually one of the songs they play last as a show closer live.

Sleep Token is such an amazing band, they've been my favorite for a while, and it's great seeing peoples first impressions. It really is a musical rabbit hole. As a suggestion for another reaction, you should really check out "Kalandra - The State Of The World" they're a Norwegian group that kinda gives me the same feelings Sleep Token songs give me. They have really good lyrics as well. Really enjoying your reactions as well, such a bubbly duo!

You guys are right about how they throw surprises in. With ST the surprises never stop too. Far too many artists make songs that are just rudimentary and predictable. One of my favorite things in music is when artists arent afraid to try new things and throw in unpredictable bits. ST are second to none at this you guys will continue to see! Also as a drummer myself I love how much appreciation II gets. Well deserved too as he's a true high level drummer. Love seeing people trip on his technical playing. He actually recently did a demo and interview with the popular drum channel Drumeo. This was a big deal because they'd never done any interviews before except for one short one early in their career. I just love how II has since kind of become the bands quasi-PR guy since his interview is all we really have to go off of. 😂 Drumeo later released a separate video of II playing their biggest song, The Summoning. Once you guys hear that song you MUST react to that playthrough. He adds a drum solo used in their live shows not in the studio version that will truly blow your mind. 😎🥁 Blessed be your Sleep Token journey, girls. Cheers! 😚

It just occurred to me that often in Sleep Token’s music the lyrics will corrupt between a pleasant and forceful tone. The whole song he is basically begging, “Take a bite of me just once” and “Just take a bite, I want to know.” But at the end he commands “Take a bite… TAKE A BITE!”.

Vessell II was the one that sucked me in first. It took some time for Vessel's voice to grow on me.

Are yall workin your way from the earlier stuff to the new stuff or are you bouncing in between? There are many, many great songs (I actually dont think there is a single song I dont like...) in their earlier stuff, but the stuff that hits me emotionally is mostly from the newest album. Especially Take Me Back To Eden, Are You Really Okay, and Euclid.

It’s probably just me but I don’t buy into the whole lore of this “diety” he’s talking to. For me he’s simply speaking to a lover. And that other stuff is just to make it interesting somehow. He’s obviously been in a relationship he cares so much about.
