when i heard si fueras mia i thought if this is how native english speakers feel when a kpop artist sings in english and wow, i legit listened to this song the entire day and some other songs of his album, i loved it, all the songs. As you said it hits different when an artist sing in your native language cause you can sing the full song and i'm so happy he decided to make a spanish song, latin fandom went crazy over this, and obviously this is a romantic song so it was a delulu day for me. Dad is not in my top3 of this album but i went so emotional, i didn't cried at the first time but in the live stream i cried when you cried😭😭 I'm so happy that i started staning exo now and D.O dropped a spanish song, and now i feel like he could be my bias, just because an album this is crazy but is his voice...

Dad as a song the emotion and words are so brilliant obvious for him he is targeting the emotion for him is towards his dad so i can never fully grasp his true feeling because ive never had but i can at least relate to my mom and it hard to think about where id be without her and where ill be when she is gone because she really ever been the only one there me so the emotion that everyone feels during that song is probably close to the same towards a certain parent or supporter in there life

I listen to his album when it releases but didn't have confidence to look for lyric video of DAD. Unknowingly, I cried while listening to it first time and its my first time watching DAD's lyric video and here, I am crying again.

Si fueras mia just feels like kyungsoo is serenading you in Spanish and I don't even know Spanish but that song has such a strong hold on me. And I had a sobbing fest with you while listening to dad because that song pulled at my hearts strings, it felt so personal and then after everything you said, it just made me cry harder lol. But I'm absolutely in love with this album, every song in this album is just beautiful and I loved experiencing it with you again ❤

I think 'Dad' is such a good song. It's not about one or both parent dying of sort. He's a man now. He wants to be like his dad, as a man to someone he loves, a father to his child (later on). He admires his dad's way of raising him probably or how he's working hard to provide for his family. Also, as a man and a leader of your own small family, most of the times we turned our back because we don't want our wife and kids to see us in pain (either because of we're upset with them or the world or it's just a hard day for us). we'll want to endure it alone because coming back to your wife and kids should be a very calming moment. weakness is like our biggest ego crusher. at least let us come out as a hero, strong in front of those under our care. Becoming a father, you'll think of your own father and how they would handle little 'me' during given times. So it's a good song, really. Just a man admiring his father and wanting to resemble him. wanting to walk with them would probably be wanting to reconcile for lost times because growing up, we start to understand our own hormones and responsibilities as a man and creating new momentum since both are now veteran man and a 'newly becoming' man. Not sad, just realisation hitting our behind.

I love the whole album! But the songs that I really liked are Dad, I'm Fine, Si Fueras Mia, and I'm Gonna Love You. "Dad" really got me, imagine if his kids or him sing this 😩 "I'm Fine" and "Si Fueras Mia" are tied because the guitar in "I'm Fine" really flows with his voice and the way he sang in different languages in "Si Fueras Mia" is just amazing! "I'm Gonna Love You" is just very soothing to listen to, like I said about "I'm Fine" the was the guitar flows with his voice makes it really soothing to listen to :)

I love your reactions. To me, "I'm Fine" reminds me of "Lost Without You" by Robin Thicke. It the melody and the guitar that sounds so similar. But that just what I heard when it played.... You have such great insight and I always learn something new from your reviews.

Album of the year for me

I've been watching your videos for quite a while now and just created this account for me to comment (as I've been using my account with my full real name before -- which I am not comfortable using in subscribing and commenting in youtube). I love how you let the music (Dad) took over you and open up yourself. I love what you said about the fear of losing a love one -- and having that fear is ok. And I would say, nothing would be able to prepare you and there's also nothing you can do to ease the pain. And what I love about the song Dad (at least my interpretation of it) is that -- it conveys a message of cherishing and valuing the moments together with your love one (Dad for this instance) as much as you can, and create lots of (good) memories together... that's definitely something I wish I did more when my father was still living (lost my father 20 yrs I ago.. and yes, I did cry together with you during the song). And I love the song for that... (and love Kyungsoo for singing that and putting it in his album)... Also, being a lurker of your channel for quite some time, I've seen how much you love Exo and (from another fan) I thank you for that. I hope some people would realize that you loving other groups does not mean that you have less love to Exo, and would continue to support your channel. Also, I do hope that you get to see Exo concert live (not just in Vlive) soon... (which is the same wish I have for my self) :)

i also watched from another reaction video that that rose growing from a concrete signifies something like you just keep going on with or keep enjoying life despite the mishaps 😮 which d.o does in the mv, he's all smiles and having the time of his life despite the chaos surrounding him 😆💕 i only got to continue watching it now (the day after) and man i didn't expect to cry 🤣 i already heard these songs but knowing what these lyrics say made me 😭😭😂 but i mean that's probably why the album's title is "empathy", it will get you in your feels 💕 d.o please do more upbeat songs in your next album 🤣

I forgot to comment on the live afterwards so I'm doing it now 😂I really loved this album so so so much it's definitely a no-skip album for me and is definitely going to be in my top 3 albums of 2021. My absolute favorite song off of this album was 'Dad' because for me personally the best songs are the ones that are so powerful and moving in the music and lyrics that it can make you feel the song and the emotion that the artist is trying to portray and this song definitely did that for me even before I read the lyrics. After 'Dad' my other favorites were 'I'm Gonna Love You' and 'Rose (Eng. ver)' but every song off of this album was so amazing and beautiful.

Finally got round to watching this, late I know but I haven't been in the right headspace for YT much this week. When you were all trying to come up with songs during "I'm Fine" and I'm mentally screaming at my computer that "why has no one said "Underwater" by Baekhyun or Chanyeol's "SSFW"?!" 😄 You know, one of the reasons I love "Rose" English version so much is not just the cute cheesy lyrics, which are everything - but it's the flirty tone! It reminds me so much of the 2012/13 Kyungsoo and how he was back then, the whole song is just pure sweet nostalgia and I love it! 🥰 Omg, the struggle at the end! 🤣

I love D.O.s Album so much 😻 my favourite track is probably I'm Fine? Maybe? Idk, it changes all the time for now, I'll probably settle on one in a few months though XD About that intro to the song that reminds you of something? I don't know the two songs that you settled on and the Enhypen one does sound similar with the melody, but when I first heard that my mind went straight to Baekhyun and his Light concert. I couldn't figure out the exact song untill yesterday, but Underwater some in the beginning and especially at 2:55. I've cried during most of the songs at first because I was so proud of him 💞 and seriously the album is so him. Some of the songs remind me of songs that Justin Bieber would sing and that makes sense since Kyungsoo has recommended a lot of his songs lately.

Just to share with you...I once learnt from radio DJ, he said "he would like to play EXO songs on his radio but it's against the station order as it's not pay for promotion like the other!"

Some people might be confused about those certain events that occur in the music video. To my understanding, when you're in love, you tend to forget how harsh the world is. Also, since you're full of love the world seems beautiful and perfect though, in reality, it's not. It's really incredible and amazing how he escaped that death serious accidents, like the fallen tree, the soccer ball, exploding water pipe, robbers, garbage, and the flickering street lights. What a lucky man. This video also explains that even trash seems pretty in your eyes once you're happy and over the moon. He might think that that trash is confetti. In short, he views the world in a different way. Being in love makes you oblivious of everything that's happening around you.
