Empathy is by far the most beautiful album to come out of Kpop. I haven’t heard a body of work so well balanced. It’s not a sleeper, but it’s not your typical mainstream pop either. Plus no heavy production. Just kyungsoo’s vocals & acoustic. In the world of kpop, Kyungsoo is an idol that stands out on his own. EXO is a group full of aces man. Every solo that comes out of EXO blows my mind.

For me personally, D.O. and his voice adds the flavor to EXO's songs. There is just something about his voice that makes their songs sound special for me. Specially when he harmonizes with a different member or when he does his adlibs at the back of Baek's or Chen's parts.

LC a tip for situations in which you can listen to this type of music: In the shower on a stressful day, he relaxes 10000 times more, or when he goes to get ready for bed, preparing his mind to end the day, fixing things at home or to the work in the following one .. This kind of music always keeps me company in these 2 situations .. And on the road, of course, because an agitated song is always cool, but sometimes you just need a little song like that to slow down the mind and consequently the day ... Also, I loved the video so much! D.O is a little piece of peace hidden in Korea that I like to share only with the people I really love, because his voice and his art are really pure and special, it was really fun and relaxing to hear empathy with you today!

Aint this fantastic. We didnt even understand a pick of korean words, and yet our head swaying left n right, acknowledging his soothing yet powerful voice. And best, d.o dont give a damn about promotion at all!! He's just relaying words take a chill, n just relax, and flexing his voice captivating us U r blown away with his flexing 3 languages? Watch his acting skills. Swing kids really are unique to me

For me personally, this the album of the year, since it came out I've been listening to Empathy non stop and i dont skip any of the songs. This is perfectly made, the songs in this album are for all-mood type of songs. You listen to it whether your happy, sad, emotional and everything if youre in a bad mood, just play this album to give off calmness. I like many albums that was released this year, but this one is unbeatable for me. 💚

D.O. is breath of fresh air for me. I am glad that he chose to do his 1st album acoustic. His voice and the guitar compliment each other. Specially in I'm Fine, its as if its a duet with that guitar cause the guitar is also singing with him. I love the album. I love D.O. Can't wait for his next.

When I introduce this album to someone else: 1. One of the best vocals in the world 2. The best summer tracks 3. THE artist sings three languages in his first solo album I don't usually like this type of music, but D.O. changed my preference

Thanks guys! Si Fueras Mia was a Spanish original song. D.O loved it and it was translated and recorded in Korean. Rose was originally in English and it has that folkloric vibe. Before the mini album came out, I posted on Twitter and was hoping he would release a song in English. It’s a dream came true. This album is like a dedication to his international fans. Si Fueras Mia is a whole of another level. Thank you D.O!

d.o.’s solo album really fed fans of what we have been deprived of over the years of exo. SM had to basically rearrange their exo plans after EXO-k & exo-m plans didn’t work out when members left. So that meant promoting as a whole which for some reason also meant DO was placed on the back burner (I feel) so other members could get more lines.

Thank You for reacting to whole album of D.O.'s Empathy. This whole album is so so good. His vocal is perfectly perfect with his soulful voice, the lyrics are beautifully written, and the guitar is on point in every single song. As a huge fan of D.O. since 2013, this album is like a perfect gift for me after 9 years of waiting for his 1st solo album. I have to say it's worth the wait, actually more than expectations. This whole album reflects the personality of D.O., his sincerity to his fans, and how he appreciates every kinds of love that he even named this album "Empathy". You mentioned that "This album is Timeless", "His vocal is more than instrumental", "The whole album is no-skip" and I find no words to argue with that since all are true. Thank you for appreciating D.O. 1st solo album Empathy. I'm hoping for your more reactions to EXO's projects in future.💕

Before this album everyone expected a heavy R&B sound album because of Tell Me What Is Love and his usual position to bring soul to EXO music. However, he dropped a pure acoustic album. It's not what I expected as a heavy D.O bias but the album still ended up exceed my expectations! D.O is the most quiet member who like simplicity and low profile stuff. This album shows his honey soulful voice without flexing much about his techniques. He just uses his pure voice to tell you a story. It's so D.O style. Hope you really enjoy this no skip album with ease. Every EXO solo give you a different vibe it's how versatile they can offer. Hope one day you will check out members individual guide by Cesar OH who you already reacted to the group guide. You will find D.O very conservative with his non idol image haha

Dear, he was so flexing his techniques . The songs seems easy to sing but are in fact very difficult to sing. Ask vocal coach. Thats D.O. for u . He makes everything look simple when its not. Effortless. Don't talk about techniques when u clearly don't have knowledge about vocal techniques . Or u wouldn't have said that. Stop setting urself up by ur half baked knowledge abt vocals.

@@okay5177 dear you don't have to be rude like that as we all support Kyungsoo. I do know his singing sounds effortless though it's difficult. His techniques is expressed subtly without flexing. You know flexing means showing off apparently but it's not Kyungsoo's style. Only people try to sing his songs and lines can actually tell they are difficult.

And it clearly shows u don't know a stuff abt vocals . Also, Flexing ( formal term) also means putting your talent to use. So, yes, he indeed showed off his brilliant vocals. Also,real vocalist doesn't need to sing his songs to know that they are very difficult. Amazing Vocal coaches just need to listen. Sorry but I see u in many videos about Kyungsoo saying stuff like ' Many People like D.O. for his voice' or ' Chen and Baek are belters' or ' Other members are also talented. People should give other's attention' . U seemed like u disguise urself as D.O.'s fan and then was directly or indirectly discrediting D.O. 's mind blown vocals by saying people like him bcoz of his voice. No, we don't. 'Real' fans of his loves him for his vocals the most. His voice is just a magnificent bonus for u. U think if one has a beautiful voice but got no up par vocals , he will be placed as main vocalist along with Chen and Baek . A top 3 vocalist in 3rd generation. A top 10 vocalist of all time in kpop for his voice?? Funny of u because Vocal ranking in EXO goes like this: CHEN>>D.O. > BAEKHYUN Yes, he is placed before Baekhyun. Ask any knowledgable Vocal coach. Also u claim to be his fan but doesn't know that D.O. is an amazing belter too. He just doesn't sing high notes as much as he used to in their debut. Mama and Love me right , etc are the proofs how good he is in belting the high notes. It just that he is not as high pitched as Baek and Chen. D.O. is the only member to able to keep stable larynx throughout his whole range, second-most after Chen developed lower register in Exo, great passaggios, and smooth transition between registers . The mind blown and best support range in EXO( C#3/ D3 - A4/Bb4) with great consistency and resonance through the whole range. The first member to support Bb4 . Yes , I am so proud that he is still the only member to support Bb4 ( a top range) consistently. most flexible voice in Exo, masters agility .He can sing runs like no one's business and he’s the best at controlling them among all kpop vocalists. Making him the King of runs and Ad-libs in Kpop. The most agile tenor kpop has ever known. he has the second strongest voice in Exo after Chen only. He is the best at mixes among all main vocalist in Exo. Mixes ranking : D.O. > Baek >Chen. And I believe he has the potential to produce head voice even up to G5 but he prefers falsettos.His only issue is the lack of confidence . A two minute silence for those who thinks vocals =/=high notes.

I always love Dandanie coming out to defend him from people undermining his vocal skill because his singing career isn't as strong due to busy acting. If you really pay attention to my other comments, it's me who fought with people who always place BBH over Kyungsoo plus discrediting him as a main vocal. I am not sure if you are those solo Dandanie but it's the first time I heard people saying I am in disguise to be Dandanie just because I also want people to give attention to other members. I love your love for Kyungsoo but you are over sensitive. I love all members and a legit ot9 EXO-L with Kyungsoo as my ultimate bias. That's our difference. Don't judge me on this. And I would be more than happy to learn more about vocal but your way and tone really pull me off. Not everyone is a vocal coach level and I don't trust any of them as reactors on YT either. And loving Kyungsoo because of his voice doesn't mean I discredit his techniques and skill in singing. His voice is his ultimate charm. For GP, voice is more important than techniques because not everyone has professional ears to appreciate techniques but are more lean to the tone and voice which makes his voice stand out and is the most loved among EXO. Meanwhile, his techniques didn't compromise for his style which is another highlight that makes him even more amazing. Speaking about techniques, I am not professional like you but I do know he is second lead vocalist after Chen followed by Baekhyun. He belts but not as frequent as ChenBaek. Honestly, his main role in EXO is his R&B tone and runs, adlibs to add flavor and catch attention that's why he starts and ends the song the most. And it's one of the reasons people use to undermine him as a main vocal. From my first comment, I didn't take away his incredible techniques but what I focus is people love his voice and his voice make them feel pleasant to hear and love. I hope you understand it and stop attacking me. Thanks

@@lovemeright5571 I am sorry that u felt I am attaching u . That was not my intention . I am an ot9 myself and D.O. is my ult . I have been a fan since 2014. Within my 9 yrs of stanning them , I always see that solo stan of members and also some ot9 stan ranks D.O. third in ranking without enough knowledge abt vocals . I think some part has to do with Baekhyun's solo stan which is a lot bigger than D.O's solo stan.Over the years, I have seen them downplaying D.O.'s mind blowing vocals . So, I really felt sad that a D.O. stan seemed like she /he is downplaying D.O. as liked only for voice . I think in this case , I have misunderstood ur intention. But I hope next time D.O. 's fans comment like ' Wow, he has great vocal techniques and voice' rather than just ' he has a nice voice' . I maybe be hoping too much. But people who are new in fandom reads this and restrict D.O. as only good in vocal tone . And that leads to many people ranking him below Baekhyun. It hurts me that D.O. must have worked so hard on his vocals and is second best but fans ranks him 3rd which is untrue . Again, sorry that I misunderstood u. Lets defend D.O. vocally together . Fighting .

Kyungsoo is genuine... his album is him, it's his way of seeing the world... Do Kyungsoo is just incredible in every sense. He is one of the few vocalists who can make your heart flutter and cause a storm of emotions. He manages his deep voice and sweet timbre with such ease that the same part can sound completely different "starting very roughly and ending unrealistically gently". Kyungsoo's unique voice gives each song a unique charm. I'm ready to listen to his voice as much as I want.! Even when Kyungsoo just speaks, he wants to listen and listen to endlessly, such a pleasant voice.

Do Kyungsoo is just an incredible person that I will never stop admiring. At first glance, the album, the songs and his vocals may seem simple, but in fact it is not so at all. A large range does not make you a better vocalist yet, because another important role is played by the "technique", which Kyungsoo undoubtedly has great. He has such control over his voice that he makes all the transitions from low to high notes completely smoothly and even seems to make no effort. Quite naturally, during a song, it can change its timbre from incredibly sweet to sexually rude and sound simply amazing in each. Kyungsoo is one of those few vocalists who can make your heart flutter. / This album is something unique that Kyungsoo has put his soul into. He himself wrote the lyrics for the title song "Rose", and also took a direct part in writing each song. He learned to play guitar while still serving in the army, studied independently and played each of his songs from the album to record. He has recorded songs in several languages "Korean, English, Spanish" which not everyone does.

What can I say about this man who's had me tailing behind him for 7 whole years. His voice just won't let me live. So although I absolutely adore the rest of EXO, I really got there and stayed because of D.O. I love him so much and I will support everything he does. Exo did a classic Spanish song cover back in 2014 during smtown concert in Mexico called Sabor Ami and baekhyun, D. O, suho and chanyeol sang with Chanyeol playing the guitar and that time he still killed it and now he has his own track of a Spanish song and he became more fluent and I wish chanyeol wasn't in the army now because he could've been the one playing that guitar 👌

thank you for postingthe whole album review here, finally!!! It's the album of the year for me no two ways about it. His voice is so underrated as a main vocalist compared to powerhouse Baekhyun and Chen but I love his voice the most. Its pure, clean (wait am i describing water? what the heck water gives life and so does DO's voice so...) and just so full and full of emotions. The way the album was crafted to highlight his pure vocals says a lot about the confidence in his vocal skills alone. Also, those key note changes, man alive!! Those high notes he keeps hitting? You'd be surprised when its your first time to hear his speaking voice because his voice is big and deep, it belies his appearance haha being the most petite in EXO. The way he plays with the notes while singing so soulfully! Gah I cant wait for his next album! Thank you for your reaction, I love it! Hope to hear more EXO reactions from you.
