Probably because they limited the usual drama and BS you'd find in most talent shows. The judges were the realest you could find, from the guest judges to Chance, TIP and Cardi. They did hip hop justice!

This brother is a great artist...my goodness. True talent. Just listened to the new album...and it's pretty good. So happy for his platform. I get that he used to teach Spanish, but why is it in every song? It seems random, unnecessary, and distracting now. Maybe it's just me. Salute, Havent even listened to this yet and I want to give love. I was just thinking of Smoke like 1 minute ago and I hit my RU-vid and the first thumbnail was this one. He is what music, hip hop and just plane what we need in this crazy world. I dont comment much, but when I heard his story I wrote about a 3 page letter off top just showing him and his family love. Im born and raised in LA-Cty, now living in the midwest and I get home sick... Im proud of you smoke leading by example guiding our kids in the right direction. B - Barnation They both have similar speaking voices, both are from LA, both have a gap in their tooth which makes for a very specific sound, they both are amazing lyricists and storytellers, etc. Ofcourse they sound similar. They are both amazing artists though and deserve their own credits.
