I just saw Big Proof eldest son Yesterday at the D12 performance in Amsterdam. Proof lives on through his music and family!! Proof is more alive then Eminem at this point; not trying to hurt no ones feelings just telling you how I experienced it
Em as a Genuine Friend..would never backstab,Change due to materialistic vain things..If It happens, A MEETING MUST BE TABLED CALLED ' HOW COME?'😢 nowadays such friends are fewer..CRIEP Proof❤
Rip Proof ❤️ tore apart D-12 😢 He admits it, homie I had like proof fell off I can’t imagine if he was just gone. I have a chance to re-vibe that relationship, different game once there gone ❤
I love how they made a song about real life beef they had with each other -- a lot of groups couldn’t and haven’t done something like this. Like could you imagine if OutKast did this or Wu Tang? It would be dope and takes a lot of balls - love D12 for this
@@MillionaireRobot Em talks about his friend being there for him when Ronnie died so it's not Royce. They didn't know each other back then. I think he's talking about the same guy on Difficult. Proof, Eminem and him were friends when they were really young. I don't remember his name though.
@@natnirv "and I heard it through the grapevine we even beefing now..." It's about Royce, who at that time was even beefing with D-12. And started being jealous of Em while his own career wasn't popping AT ALL.
@@MillionaireRobot MillionaireRobot The chorus and the verses talk about different people. I think that Eminem and Proof's verses are talking about the same guy. And how can it be about Royce when he didn't know him? Ronnie died in 1991 and Eminem and Royce met around 97.
@@natnirv en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_Come Guess they're talking about eachother? Hmmm.. But the chorus must be about Royce, since they were friends before but then started beefing for no reason... And Eminem wanted his friend (Royce) back, and he came back.
David Fejtek I think you don't have that much idea about Eminem It's not about his album It's about him with particular character at particular songs
Proof used to wash everyone in D12. Swifty got eminem before. Swift and Proof only one who can keep up with eminems multia but proof had a better voixe than eminem. That pushed him out jusy a little bit more
I always loved how no matter how hard Em was seen as he had no problem getting in touch with his feelings. “I don’t feel the same love when we hug no more” always got me in the heart
Proof tends to use acronyms a bit. He says Forever Real Intelligence to the End - F.R.I.End. Also, one of the lines the guy he played in 8 Mile said to B Rabbit was: I'll Punish Rabbit Or Obsolete Future. P.R.O.O.F.
On this day 20 years ago this song came out. D12 World dropped 20 years ago. This song is still great to me all these years later like it was the first time I heard and I still blast this song in my car while rapping to it. I have both D12's album along with all of Em's studio albums and compilation albums.
Damn I remember listening to this song when I was in high school, but I never dug deep into the song, finally did and man I didn't know they had problems amongst everyone themselves. It's good to know they made a song about it. As you grow older you start to realize the childishness within humanity, unfortunately you make mistakes, some realize and some don't. To bad Proof didn't get to still be here to still vibe with the crew!! Hope the rest of them still keep in touch.
This verse & hook from Eminem is without a doubt top 5 of all time. In every category from Lyrics , flow, on beat, and the feelings he deliver. Masterpiece, still here in 2023.
mm. this one track came out awhile ago as a leak, but it's really good, Hit Me With Your Best Shot is a leaked single post proof's death that's really good. Think it came out about 3 years back?
I'm with you man :) I just hope Eminem would release the third album of D12, if not officially, as a mixtape or bootleg instead if they can't release as an official album ;-)
hit or no hit that shouldn’t matter if you like d12 you appreciate any new music they would give us. I for one enjoyed Bane when they released it I feel it was far from their best work but I think they gave us that to keep a buzz around the new album but I feel that they released it while still not being sure they were even going to drop a new album they just kept mentioning it to keep a buzz going about the possible new album as a fan I admit that with no proof d12s sound changed and I wonder if they shelved the project fearing that it wouldn’t live up to what has become d12s signature sound and be considered a failure and be considered a desperate attempt to stay relevant and tarnish d12s legacy and especially proofs legacy and maybe out of respect to proof they decided that they would not continue the group and let the legacy they already built be I feel that way about ATCQ I feel that the best thing for them is to not continue making new music and let their legacy stand they don’t have to quit rapping just don’t release new music under the d12 name they could start fresh and the fans will always know who they are and what they did but any new d12 music is always going to be compared to the work done while proof was alive and like usual it will always be criticized for not being the same as their previous work even though a core member is gone it will always be looked at in that way and d12 will constantly be criticized and eventually be called a joke and a failure which could then tarnish the work that they already gave us
HHSolid Beats (Instrumental Rap Beats) I think of all my family every time I hear this. None of them will Skype or even n visit me and half of them are back home in Ireland when I am in the u.k
Today is my birthday. My biological father committed suicide 26 yrs ago today. This song helped me thru a lot. It is on today's playlist 🙏🏽 thank you for making this song D12 🙏🏽 #ISurvived ✊🏽
Damn I miss D12, after hearing Em's "Stepping stone" :( I remember the first time I listened to it back in 2008 when I was in high school, this was my first ever D12 song
When I was young I loved this song but I never really felt the impact of the lyrics but when I listen now reminds me of my bro cuz we don't talk no more it's mad how many songs you listen to when your young but when your older it's like your hearing upstanding for the first time CRAZY 💓💯🔥👍👊
Ok, people are saying the song is aimed at Royce Da 5'9". But it's not. Em's verse talks about someone comforting him when his uncle Ronnie died. This isn't Royce. Ronnie died in 1991, but Em didn't meet Royce until 1997. Em's verse is aimed at Proof.
Most of Em's verse sounds like it's towards Kim and someone else (it could be Proof). Kim was also around when Ronnie died, and his mom adopted her when they were kids. How do you explain Kon's verse though? Eminem had already been married to Kim for a while, and still was after this song dropped. Was he talking about Proof? It's hard to tell who Proof's verse is aimed towards. You have to keep in mind, D12 and Royce had a beef going on when this song dropped. We may honestly never know what each individual verse was aimed towards until they answer it themselves. It's a hard song to decipher so I can understand the confusion. If you're going to quote rapgenius, they know about as much as you and me.
For a lot of his songs definitely , a true artists sound changes, the problem with a lot of amateurs sound the same every track let alone different albums
How come they don't even talk no more They don't even rap no more We don't even see them rap at all And we do got the same love for y'all, songs and more
For those hardcore Em fans, I wish he was happy as he was when he was with proof, I was a very few lucky men and women to catch them in concert I will. Tell my grandkids about this man and his story not that it needs telling... The man is a ledgend even if he hates his albums... I love them!
+il100374 how is it the best? u have any proof? or ur just saying this cuz he is dead and u wanna ride teh bandwagon? just asking. I personally thought it was alright he has done much better before
+il100374 its good. Not bad but hear his other stuff with d12 and some of the lesser known songs of his solo records. They are better. but this is still good.
This song has a deeper meaning now that I've gone through something similar with my group of homies.Happy my dawgs have their own lives and families but I'd be lying if I said that I don't miss those guys.
This song is from 2004 I was only 17 years old when the diacografic music knew how to make music nowadays 2023 they don't know how to make music they only know how to scream one gets old but doesn't forget the memories of adolescence nostalgia old times will never come back forever👌
I don't know why but when em said we are family made me kinda emotional.. I don't know but i am not used in those type of songs by D12... So i am taking it kinda serious.. I really miss proof...
The background to this song is interesting. Em's verse was directed at Proof, Kuniva and Proof were directed back at Em. Basically a discussion/argument over the record. Mainly Eminem and Proof had been having troubles in their friendship for years with Proof being a hip hop purest that wanted to stick to the roots while Eminem was becoming more mainstream and exploring avenues that didn't necessarily align with Proofs beliefs.
Proof is the realest person ever in hip hop, no hard feelings about anything, helping his people but not taking shit from anyone about a damn thing. The real reason behind Eminem's success imo
Proof is the kind of friend who is so solid that you'll spend time trying to find another before you realize how lucky you are to have found one like that at all.
I love this song to the core of my soul. It's about REALITY. This is exactly What's going on in the lives of so many good friends that came up together, but today they are not talking, neither calling each other. Very sad. What a brilliant message. My Best song on all of D-12 albums
this song is about the tensions brewing between the D12 members....mostly between Em and Proof....though in this song Kon Artist (im guessing) claims to hav known about Kim's affair and tried to tell Eminem about it
