Need a detailed manual on how to take off in this plane. This plane is very hard to take off, I slowly go down into the water from the carrier... and unable to get airborne
Did you tried to pull up the nose while take off so the plane is starting completely straight? I had same problem with most of the planes, but as soon as I started to pull up and keep the plane straight horizontal, the catapult on the carrier started to work and problem was solved. The plane get enough speed then and you won ´t fall into the water. Simply pull the tail up from the deck when starting 🤙🏻
The Japanese design requirements for most of that era planes was for a 1000kg bomb to be carried over vast distances as it was deemed the minimum to one shot a ship. Their naming convention for military stuff still drives historians up the wall even today. I think Type 2 is basically for use against land targets. They had AP versions for anti ship.
Nice. I dread getting on the Japanese grind. Also the Zero is weird as hell. I can't pull up from a dive unless the flaps are in combat mode, but if Im diving in combat mode it's like "you better switch that back or those flaps are going to be all that's dropping on the enemy". 😑
@ejmuerterisefromthedead8924 Gonna level with you. I've barely got myself to Tier 3 on both US and Germany in War Thunder, and I think I touched the planes maybe once in all that time. I'll take your word for it.
Did you guys feel the sbd bomber is harder to take off from the aircraft carrier? Mine always crashed just a couple of meters after take off, it felt that the engine is underpowered 😅
Max thrust, nose forward, gear up as soon as off deck, flaps to combat then up a few seconds later. If sinking nose gently forward to pick up speed. At 180 kph nose up and climb away. Try not to press F like I did….ha ha!
