You can get their benchmark tool to find out if your pc specs meet the minimum requirements. www.d5render.com/specs Like any other software, it also depends on how heavy your scene. 🙂
Been using Lumion lately but cannot achieve the degree of detail and realism that I want. There's something cartoonish about Lumion's render output. I'm excited to learn D5 soon! 🙂
Can D5 render use for industrial plant rendering...like water treatment plant and so....I'm currently looking for a environment and industrial renderer
@@saviematadeen314hi , please i am currently working on geothermal plant/lithium plant and other industrial plants. Please can you help with a few models that could be of help as you are working on similar project. I will appreciate, thank you.
The images quality .. the chosen scenes .. the examples! Everything is so artistically fine in this video .. but not only .. the background beautiful music which fitted perfectly the tone and the quality of the narration about my near future favourite rendering engine ! Thank you so much… keep up this great job ..
As a vray user it still feels plasticy, but the software has come a long way. Most firm now use Enscape, or D5 because the entry barrier is so small and can produce good enough results. Higher end firms still outsource to big studios for the main images.
Yes, the entry barrier for the software is actually almost non-existent. If companies want to dish out quick renders or animations, D5 is up for the job. And yes, you're right. They have come a long way (and pretty fast updates, in my opinion), and I won't be surprised to see huge improvements from them very soon. 🙂
Chaos V-Ray does not produce higher quality renders than D5 when you consider apples-to-apples timeframes (and among advanced rendering solutions with similar capabilities, it's all about the amount of time/ray iterations). Escape isn't close and shouldn't be considered in the same sentence as the other two. FWIW, I'm a software developer that's written ray-trace algorithms.
Na, with every version of a software they say is revolutionizing, when unreal releases a new version is revolutionizing, when blender releases a new version is revolutionizing, when corona releases a new version is revolutionizing, etc. Is such a wasted world man. Two weeks later the competence has something like the same with a different approach lol.
Currently, you can export 3dsmax files into D5 for .abc format. Maybe in the future updates we will see the animated cameras included. Fingers crossed 🤞
@P-lo_ol-9 Give this a try: Before exporting your file, make sure you have installed the d5 converter - relative to your source software (if you're using 3ds max, then install and use the 3dsmax converter). Then you can start exporting. Hope this helps.
Hey, the studio can be used in the community subscription but is only limited to 5 presets. You need to have a higher subscription if you need more. Hope this helps. 🙂
@@silvercoloredlens thanks for your reply. But I can't find that blue button for the studio. It didn't appear on my screen. Is there another way to navigate the studio? Thanks
I have the Pro version, which is a paid subscription. But you can always use the free version, but it does come with limitations with PRO assets availability.
@user-rk3ms8ec1e No, I don't have the perpetual (lifetime) license, and it's no longer available. It was only available in the past early versions of the software.
@carlosbigfreeze6841 been doing it already, but I don't mind getting a sponsorship to help grow this channel. This way, I can help people who want to get better in the archviz industry more. 🙂
I have NIVIDIA GTX 970 and it doesnt work on it. whereas I have perfectly working on rest of the softwares like 3ds max, Maya, Nuke, UE, clarisse, Blender or anything you name it. If I have to update graphics spending a lot of money for ONE SOFTWARE, I cant do it. thats a sad part
That's completely fine. As long as your current setup still works for you, there's no need to buy a new one. Maybe in the near future you'll need a new setup, so that would be a good time to upgrade. Just my 2 cents. 😉
100% agreed. Soon I will have to upscale my system. I wished to work on D5. But I was sad seeing a pop up window that my display card is too old to handle this. anyways thanks a lot for responding
You might be right, but I'm not sure it holds true with all benefits, though - starting with pricing. Lumion is way expensive. Although I use both software, I don't see anything wrong with sticking with what you know best and what software you use comfortably on a daily basis. But yeah, D5 currently is way ahead from lumion.. that is unless Lumion pulls something new. 😉
@@silvercoloredlens i learned d5 in a couple of days and got great result with practicing and perfecting the program it will be the best - whenever I try to learn v-ray I remember how log it takes to set up and render
I remember they did have the perpetual license in their early years, but they no longer have it now. They also have a free version that you can use, and you can render still images and animations. 🙂
That would be a good comparison, but it all really depends upon the situation. If you're rushing for a deadline, I would bet on something that could produce something quickly and having a real-time capabilty to produce faster outputs. 🙂
