Now that's the sign of a well maintained machine. Sitting inside a shed for 6 months, and after a quick check of fluids it gets about a half turn on the starter and it pops right off!
Seeing just some of your equipment in the background of this video, most of us can remember you getting each one. Seeing how far you have come is truly a testament to your hard work and your work ethic. Thank you for sharing your passion with us. Keep pushing, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you and your business.
I think I can remember him getting all of his equipment. I have been watching Chris for a long long time and have enjoyed every minute watching his videos. Thanks again, Chris
Im impressed. Dozer sat for 6 months, cranked strong and no wasps flew out. I can leave my tractor sitting 2 days and I'll have 3 wasp nests and at least 1 bird nest built on it.🤣
Those old caterpillar bulldozers are good machines, they just need a little tlc from time to time. I spent a lot of time on a D8 back in the 80s clearing trees and stumps with a cutting blade mostly in Illinois and Missouri for a local paper mill in Wickliffe, KY. My grandpa had 3 D8 Caterpillar bulldozers, two were used to clear land for the paper mill and 1 strictly did dirt work mostly in Western Kentucky.
Those were generational machines . With good maintenance and care , your grandchildren could make a decent living running the same machine . Nowadays , it's more likely your children will always wonder why daddy went apeshit and did unspeakable ( on RU-vid ) things to that dealers service department .
You got to be absolutely pleased with that D7, my goodness, setting 6 months and starts up on almost the 2nd roll of the starter, then you push the dirt pile like it was nothing, just sweet. Like the clean up and the plans, enjoyed watching.
Chris, have been watching your channel for quite some time now and how particular you are when it comes to your equipment. So I recently was able to purchase a 2021 Yanmar ViO55-6A with just over 1000hrs. From my local dealer. Very impressed with it so far. Thanks to you showing what this machine machine is capable of made decision process much easier. Thanks Chris.
Hi Todd, I wish I had half of his energy. But I don't, so I just watch him do all the work, and I'll just sit and watch him do my share of work. 😂 Have a great weekend, my friend, and God bless you and yours.
I remember when Clint delivered the D7. It’s was a lot brighter yellow then. Between the D7 and the 4.5 yard bucket you can move enough dirt to reshape NC. You differently got the equipment Chris and the god gift to use it.👍👍👍
Sounds to me like you and Matt over @DieselCreek need to arrange some kind of equipment swap to get one of Matt's smaller haul trucks to keep on your farm Chris.
Chris, you have made my dream come. Throw. Seeing that D7 come out of her winter slumber. She is still a beauty queen and ready to serve you a good summers work. Love your videos and can always wait for the next one to come out. Thanks for sharing, Chris, and God bless you and yours.
Nice bucket for the 350. D7 - wow start up without any falter - awesome. Road coming along - will be good when complete for alternative access to the farm which is looking great.
What a great day to see the D7 outside 😀. It's literally like you parked it yesterday, and it was ready for work. Clint did a great job on the D7 and it shows. I'm glad you bought it and the D6. Both are very dependable machines that are always ready for work. And no outrageous bank payments are required. Can't wait for your videos on the big dig coming up.
Well, finally a new episode of Chris actually working on his own property getting some much need work done to improve that area to put in a road back to the rental cabin to keep his house lot private when renters are occuping that pond side cabin. Darn good idea I'd say. My Saturday night definitely was improved watching it.
You need to give Clinton a big hug next time you see him, he sold you a gem. I know he painted it up nice n pretty but this thing is just a fine piece of equipment.
Glad to see the Kitty-Cat doing what Kitty-cats do! Push massive amounts of dirt. Clint and Co did a great job on the D-7. It's an excellent addition to your "Big-Iron" Collection.
The old steel is strong. My first ever time around a mini was amazing. We was shoveling a lot. Guy on the job said I can do that in no time flat. He was right.
With all the equipment that you have acquired, Chris, it might be time to build another storage facility. One with wide enough supports that you can get the D7 in and out without having to be so accurate.
That's a badass bucket there Chris love them older dozers they all run good as long as u keep them maintained that's all my great uncle would run is all old equipment dozers trackhoes front end loaders from the 40s 50s and 60s
Chris when you get hay Take bad bale of hay dig hole In middle of that pile of ashs drop in cover it up it will rot away An help that pile of ashs make good top soil better
Are you still thinking of Charlie coming to SoilCement the road? Or is the clay you've put down holding up? I'm curious. I love how your dreams are coming to fruition despite all the work you've had. Congrats, Chris and thanks for sharing.
I agree a fence right along the property line would make sense to hide the view when you are driving threw there it’s kinda a eye sore 👍😎🇺🇸 NY but looking good
The Dusty D& comes bacK to life!. Maybe next time you park her in this open what ever you call it, you can get a Large garbag bag or someting to cover the seat?? just a thought. Andrew Camarata has a D7 as well, and Love when I see videos of his working🙂
Nice the boss lets you use the equipment for personal projects too!! Finding older equipment in good shape really strertches the dollar plus lots of flexibility!
You're D6 and D7 start and run like new! I'm impressed every time you hit the key and fire right off. When you have time, could we get a quick cabin update and tour. Thanks Chris!
Never be leery of buying equipment from Clint and the boys. It will be as near to new condition as can be economicaly done without cutting corners. If rebuild cannot be reasonably done then there is always room for parts. These machines are getting old enough that having parts units is cost effective.
Every little helps around Your own farm Chris you work on every body else's land and yours goes by the by but the more you do on your place the better it looks and I understand why you want to reroute the drive away from your home to give you that little bit more privacy, the D7 sounds good for standing for 6 months and the tracks don't squck neither thank's for another great video.
No doubt TweeD7 would crank and fire off, Clint did a fine rebuild. Improvements on the farm a looking good. That should be a fine pile of composted dirt next year to go on the field.
