Got you beat just a little on tires. Bought my then brand new 3/4 ton Dodge Power Wagon in April 1973. This year I bought another new set of four tires (rims and off-road) and they gave me a fifth set free. When I lowered my spare, guess what. It's the original split rim 7.50 x 16 x 33 M&S spare tire! Been hanging there for 51 years...and still had 45 pounds of air. Never been on the road. I kept it. Ha
Being a retired 623e operator I'm jonesing to get back in the seat. Lol but only for about an hours worth of running. I would be ready for a nap then. 😂 Great video! That gravel would have been fun diving off with a pair of "37's" or "57's". Happy Trails!
Loved the beginning of the video where you first broke over the edge and the top of the wall caved off. That was a great camera angle. Glad you finished it off safe and sound. Nice work as always. 👍🏼
You be giving me flashbacks riding in an open cab backhoe in a dust storm with palm tree branches snacking me. Nothing like seeing a wall of dust moving violently towards you with no options of cover.
Great video Jeff watching you push the dirt or gravel off the top of that ridge kinda a nail bitter. But you got it done thanks for sharing stay safe Jeff.
Great Job Sir! Glad you mentioned the Cat glow plugs being junk. Im currently working on a 594 pipe layer and I got three that are an issue. One is missing the tip, one is snapped off and one is stuck but not currently broke off ( yet anyway). Most likely Ill be changing pre chambers tho.
Satisfying, relaxing, YAWN 🥱 tranquil, Slernfph mummble YAWN 😴 💤 So satisfying, the 9’s sound is so soothing it puts me to sleep. Great video 9 hours of Jeff 🤔 Will you be fighting Orcs n Gremlins or maybe ghouls n witches?
Pretty satisfying to see You push down the pit wall. Glad that You are enjoying the new seat cushions Jeff. Best Wishes to everyone at Anderson Construction, their Families and Friends. #110500
Looking smokey outside almost as smokey as here in Oregon. That time of year again wildfire season. Freaky, going off the edge would not be a good day. As a pro like yourself Jeff you would never have that problem. Jeff wins again.
My pump on my transfer tank wasn't pumping ( I thought I was out of fuel). Turns out the suction pipe had fallen off in the tank. It was epoxied onto a nipple that was threaded into the pump body. I just put a threaded pipe into the pump head and that fixed it. I always though 'Fillrite" was the good stuff...think again!
That material deposit has likely been there since the last ice age however many thousands of years ago that was And that original spare tire is now a NEW OLD STOCK vintage original tire and wheel,,,,,,,,,,, million bucks ,,,,,,,,,,,
Running D9 in the day said "big operation." Old Cat dash hole from pup start era. D7 was an ordinary cat. D8 was big Cat. D9 said 😊monster, D9G was new!
THANKS JEFF, always game for the ride-along. ????? Is there any way to shim the drive links to align those drive sprockets????? 1/2 inch is mighty wide though????? GOD BLESS !! 😍😍😍😍😍🙏🏻
Salut Jeff ! As a french man, maybe I missed something in this "story", but what's the purpose of this job ? Such efforts and so much fuel consumption to slope these gravel walls, what for ? Merci !
it's a gravel pit, they over dug it , stopping at the non stripped area and leaving some dirt on the edges I couldn't get, we have a regulatory agency here called MSHA (mine safety health administration) and a vertical wall like this is a no no, so I stripped the topsoil off and then pushed the wall down for safer removal of the gravel, they will be crushing some of it and at that point a MSHA person will probably come by
I dig it Jeff! I love your transport set up. It’s the set up I would really like. Do you know what your weights are with a 37 on the 8 axle? I used to haul them on a baby 9 set up (all 4 tire axles) and it weighed out pretty nice
It looks like the first 4 blade loads are the most dab gerous? After that you have enough slope filled in and a slip would be more like a toboggan run if you went too far.
What size cat engine is in D9?…..thought you were fixing the crane to pull the engine and rebuild it?…..I get it you just did the undercarriage and you got to work it to pay you back….was just curious!
I've watched you do a lot of dozing on these videos and just thought to myself "all in a days work" but I have to admit, despite the fact you posted the videos which means nothing bad happened, watching you push off that 20 foot sheer rock wall made me really uncomfortable.
If I ever have a job come up in Idaho I’d like to pay you a visit. Keep up the good work and stay safe! 😁 also what size rope and length is on your crane?
@@joshdurbin7517 They preach how fuel efficient the new stuff is...............but compared to what? lol the new stuff burns more fuel to reduce emissions, which is a oxymoron because you produce more Co2 to reduce emissions, there's nothing more efficient than an old CAT PC motor
@@Jpaydirt I agree, it’s garbage for sure I’ve got no excuse to not run older equipment. Other than when I started. I didn’t have time to work on it to get a machine in good usable condition looking back now I wish I would’ve, I still might. Lol
