I'm glad Truth straight put it so blatant to God's people and how God sees pain. Pain is used for us to recognize our sin, and shape us into the likeness of God. God sent famine into the lands of Samaria and Israel to reveal himself through pain to his people. Thats why we all turn God during trials. It makes forrea humble. What some people need to understand is God is the creator of all things. Isaiah 45 verse 7 "I form the light, and CREATE the darkness; I make peace and CREATE evil. I AM JEHOVAH, that doeth all these things". God has created everything, including pain. Without the rain we cannot enjoy the goodness of the sun. So without pain we cannot appreciate God's work to its fullest. God himself through Jesus Christ went through the pain to SHOW us that there is a reason for it to which will benefit us all.

I have never really given Christian Hip hop a chance till a friend reccomended Truth. Amazing, better than all commercial stuff you hear today. Inspiratinal and just plain good. Need to get the word out on this guy a lot more. Maybe I'm just behind on the great music being made though.

@canman68 but pain brings us back to the roots...our beginning, our origin which is God so yea in reality God doesn't "Cause" pain but he allows pain to effect our lives to bring us back for redemption.

My dad is a pastor, and he always taught me growin up God only wants the best for you. and i asked him about this song and he told me that "No God doesn't cause pain, and he never wants us to go threw it" and i agree with my dad. @canman68 So did Job bring the Pain on himself? What actions caused his great affliction? Didn't Job offering true sacrifices as repentance for sins both hidden and in plain view (Job 1:5)? Was it not God pointing out to the enemy that Job was an upright and blameless man and that he truly feared God and had faith in God and turned away from evil? But the pain still came. The pain still came although he was right with God and prayed and praised and presented himself to God.

@canman68 I think what they mean to say is not that god causes pain or that suffering aimlessly with bring redeption; rather I think it means sometimes God allows suffering because he knows that this is the only way to bring us closer to him. I do get where your coming from but in some cases pain may be the key because it is within that pain we must acknowlege our helplessness and dependency on God. Many need to learn this truth before they are able to pray and praise and get right with God.
@canman68 the pain is being separated from our unrighteousness because our flesh wants to rebel against the Word because of the sin of Adam. The pain is destroying our pride and any self effort to "get holy" and accepting Christ who is holy, and who will transform us more and more into His likeness. Its not by works that we are made righteous, but ONLY through the blood of Christ. We can't get right with God at all. We need Christ.

He is not saying that we are under OT law. Just that as sons of God , and heirs with Christ, we Honor the OT law. Paul even said "tho we are not under the law do we continue in sin. No God forbid". But because we are saved, we want to honor that law. i.e. the 10 comandments. And as Christ said, Love God first. And love thy neighbor , through those all are fulfilled. We do not say we are saved by grace then say ok the work is done Im going to keep on in my filthy ways. No.
@canman68 God can and will use our pain in life to teach us lessons. Much the same as he uses happiness, complacency, anger, hunger, etc. Da Truth says to read Deuteronomy 8. In that chapter God says that he specifically put the Israelites into a "painful" situation just for the sake for testing them and making them "holy". To say that God doesn't teach us with all tools at His disposal is naive.
@canman68 God DOES cause pain!! Do u think the nails that pierced the flesh of Christ Jesus tickled?? Do you think it was fun for Jesus being beaten nearly within an inch of His life? NO...the scripture says "He was wounded for our offenses, and bruised (literally broken) for our sins". It also says, "it pleased the Lord to bruise Him." Because with every wound, we were brought back in fellowship to Him by faith in His Son, who was perfect and didn't deserve death but died in our place.

You guys kill me and don't know what he is saying. He is simply stating that God sometimes will allow ans even cause pain to strengthen us. Look at Job in the Bible. Heck look at JESUS. Read Deuteronomy Ch 8.
Think of the story of Joseph. He was sold into slavery by his brothers and went to prison for 2 years for a rape/adultery that he did not commit. can you imagine? put yourself in his shoes of pain and suffering. God knew what he was doing. they meant it for bad but God meant it for good. and the outcome... joseph is king, the land is preserved and his family is helped. God is the potter and we're the clay. whats does the potter do after he makes and shapens the clay into his image? 1 of 2
@canman68 What about Job? God permitted that pain... Holiness is not something we get on our own. Holiness is something that is accomplished through faith in Christ and the work He does in our life. Purification comes by fire... this is a Biblical thing. :)

@canman68 Do you not understand that the entire old testament is not "an old testament law" but that the "old testament law" is a depiction of the new testament (i.e the coming Christ)? The book of Job is not a book about "law" rather its a book about the sovereignty of God. Do you not gather wisdom from the book of Proverbs because it is "OT law"? Do you understand what it means to be under NT principles as a Christian yet honor OT authority (such as the 10 commandments)?

@remi777692 Was it hypocritical of you to run to your dad when you were a child and you had scraped your knee. It is the same with our heavenly father. It is ingrained in us to the point that nonbelievers cry out for God at their darkest, and sometimes not so darkest, hours. We have to train ourselves to need God at all times. For even as a child goes off to play after the pain is gone his father is still looking out for him.

@canman68 God is sanctifying us who are in Christ. Sanctification is painful process because of Sin. Paul in his letters called us by inspiration of the Holy Spirit to put to death our bodies (Colossians3:1-10). Peter in his letter called us to suffer a little while (1 Peter 5:5-11). Being a Christian isn't for the faint of heart it is for the warrior of God who solely puts his/her trust in the power of Jesus Christ not in his/her own actions to get free from affliction. We will face pain!
@canman68 obviously you have never read the book of Job. Pain was used for that mans sanctification and God sent Satan to do it. Not as a consequence of Job's actions because God was pleased with Job but it was done for Jobs sanctification. God is sovereign in all things in our lives, including our pain. You are wrong brother.
@remi777692 Like a good father should, God disciplines His children. The child at first may not understand it or even like it, but the father knows it is for the child's good. Read Hebrews 12: 6-12 and you will understand exactly what I'm talking about. God does bring pain, but the pain He brings is good pain not bad pain. Kind of sounds like a contradiction lol, but if we can accept that Jesus is 100% God and 100% Man, then we should have no problem accepting this truth. God bless.
