This video was created purely as a description of an issue to Samsung. It is not meant to be instructional. However, if anybody learns anything from it, then great.
In the end, I needed to replace the entire assembly that houses the reservoir. It meant a larger disassembly, including some water lines. If memory serves me right, each of the water lines had this “c-clip” that secured it in place. Once that was pulled off, removing/changing the water line was easy. The whole assembly was around $250 (CAD) and was purchased through the Samsung store through their help centre. I had no luck sourcing these parts another way.
This part is no longer made and is to me knowledge impossible le to find new. There is a newer version one could trip to retro fit by using some ingenuity, glue and patience. The newer bottles seem to be the same size but they are missing the tabs that would hold it in place on the older ones. You could cut them carefully and glue them in place. This is what I am going to try. The only other way is to find a local repair shop that may be able to source a used one, long shot though
