Do you not mean to say Low Franconian/Low Frankish? Our dialect is not a middle german dialect, it shares some of the features sure... but it is also quite distinct. A large part of the rest of the Netherlands also speak a Lower Frankish dialect.
@@Bellg Frankish dialects are found in Middle German, High German and Low German. This weird artificial seperation you propagate is purely political. Do you not see the ridiculousness in such a small strip of land supposedly being "distinct"?

At most one could say that the Limburg region lies on the border between the Low Franconian and Middle German dialects, and that some of the the various dialects in Limburg are more influenced by one than it is by the other. @@Bellg I actually have a bachelor's degree in linguistics, "Low Franconian" isn't anything that could be on a border with middle German because it is not even in the same category.
