In Mario Kart 64, Blue Shell was a rarity. You got it like once a day, if you played couple of hours. In this game blue shell is more common than red shell.

Where's my Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze?

In mario kart on the Wii I was in 1st the entire race on bowser's castle and literally at the last few seconds a blue shell hit me, followed by a red shell, a star, and then a bullet bill knocked me off the map. I literally went from 1st to last in the last 5 seconds of a race. Wasn't even mad actually impressed.

You make me want to get back into MK8D. I put in like 350 hours when it first released. But after getting burned out with 350 hours it's hard to get back into. So it's been a few years since the last time I played it. But I think enough time has passed that it will feel fresh again. I didn't use tilt controls in the past but I wanted to. It was just hard to get into tilt controls when I was so used to the controller and when I was as competitive as I was. I think now would be the perfect time to try to main tilt controls. I just have to not let my ego and competitiveness stop me from using tilt controls.

I used to love Mario Kart, but it became way too casual in my opinion. Though I don't like the kart customization and this is very personnal, I don't like either the fact getting a boost at the start is way too easy now (the window for getting it is wide), and also the fact that items repop within a second so no matter how you'll always be able to get the double item even though somebody got it just in front of you.
