I'm a Filipino but I love Old Arabic songs especially those were of Fairuz, Nasri, Warda, Sabah, Oum Kalthuom, Mayada Elhanawe and their likes. They have very nice songs in terms of lyrics, melody and timing or Measure.
Actually I fell in love with Lebanon from the plane window (love at first sight !!!) but I got in touch with it earlier via its GREAT artists.. Thank you for sharing REAL art.. A smile from Casablanca, Morocco.
@akissfornadia you have a great great-uncle who unfortunately didnt have all the honours that he deserves.. and who died young relatively.. He had a very noice voice, excellent interpretation and a very classy presence.. No more artists like that with all that stupid bling bling.. I post on my FB some of his songs to keep the memory alive..I love "haddouni" :)))
Awesome Lebanese song. Incredible. I am from an arabic descent (Tunisian-american). you have to admire the culture, and arabic. Please do not bash it. I agree with explorer2u. Some respect or don;t listen to it...or comment....
Turgut Gürsoy - identity is fluid in this small world where we all can meet accidently as we do now in this place . It's nice to appreciate the cultural beauty of older days but the ones who want to go backwards will only cause suffering to themselves and others which is the worst to do in one's limited life span . So simple and rewarding rule No. 1 : treat everybody with respect and in the way you yourself wish to be treated .
@akissfornadia If this is the case then please tell me what spelling I should use for the title. It seems like there isn't any agreement in the شمس الدين family on what the spelling should be lol
is he really your uncleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! niyelakkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!! he is more than the greatest of great words. i always dream about getting his tarboush
yes many people spell it shams el dine or din but it's Shamseddine . H is a LEGEND so it's better not to say Nasri Shamesddine but to say The LEGENDARY NASRI and every one will know and for Firuz we say Human Canar I cannot find enough words to describe these 2 thy're great I cannot say more
@mannnnn2008, the reason Haifa gets millions of views and these legendary arab singers get a few thousand is because even in the arab world, sex sells.
