I'm a Bama fan, but I love Dabo. True Clemson fans have a great guy leading their team

One thing I've learned from Coach Saban is that you don't rest on your laurels. You don't keep receipts from 5, 10 years ago and pull them out when things are going bad. Coach Saban is focused on the NEXT game, the NEXT play. He never talks about doing better than coach so-and-so or 10-win seasons and championships FROM THE PAST. Heck, we wish he would just stop and smell the roses now and then. But he spends no time looking in the rear-view mirror. I think that's what makes him a continual, on-going success.

Dabo is part of the Alabama tradition whether that is uncomfortable or not - born in Alabama, played for Alabama under Stallings, and BEAT Alabama when it counted…he is having a shaky year but there is no objective reason to shit can him - he’s an elite coach - (and I’m an Alabama guy)

Wow I've really been not a fan of Dabo but he's winning me over with this attitude and conviction.

From a Jacket fan I hope Dabo keeps being himself. Some Clemson fans are starting to become spoiled brats. Maybe this season will be a reality check. There’s a long list of programs that wish they had the facilities, support, athletes, budget and recent record that Clemson has. Dont get above your raisin’ Clemson fans.

People forget that Clemson was a good team in a weak league when Dabo took over. Bowden was winning 8 - 9 games every year for the Tigers and got fired because EVERYBODY knew we could be better with the talent we had. Nobody is asking anything of Dabo that wasn't asked of Bowden.

Coach you are exactly right. I used to tell my management staff. Unfortunately, "You are only good as your last benefit" It sucks but it is what is wrong with our culture. Give thanks to the Lord for He is Good His Love is everlasting.

Dabo LOVES to quote his positive history which is exemplary, but he fails to understand what Kirby Smart and Nick Saban understand and live daily 24/7 365 which is that glorious history PLUS $5 dollars will buy you a latte at Starbucks nothing else. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY", is the real world reality and his team is unranked and he is making $11 million a year. No more excuses or history lessons fix your many problems now or retire!

When you're always wearing the whole armor of God, you can put people in check and go on about your business like it didn't even happen. The backbone on this brother, while dealing with a struggling team is why he will always be a winner despite the (4-4) record. And I love what he said about the complainers that complain even when you have a great record. I follow Notre Dame football among a host of teams that I like, and the complaining that goes on about Marcus Freeman even though they are highly ranked ( higher than LSU), and just outside the top ten, you would think they had a losing record. All the chants about fire Freeman just amazes me. If Clemson and/or Notre Dame are stupid enough to get rid of either of their head coaches at the end of the year, there will be the biggest flood of emails and calls you ever seen of ADs, booster organizations, etc., putting in bids to get either one of these powerhouses to take over their truly flailing football programs. There are so many schools just itching to get their hands on a coach like Swinney or Freeman. And they're just waiting on Clemson and Notre Dame to slip-up and make a dumb move.

Dabo is right, to a degree. But he's not coming off as likable in his response to an annoying fan. No empathy; he's attacking the caller. At this point, rival fans will probably call in as "Clemson" fans just to see how much that can rile up Dabo, and keep him off-balance and less effective. What a great way to turn a rival's fanbase against their coach: bait him into attacking them!
