Arabic rap (and music in general) is often far deeper and more poetic than we can sing in english music. Unfortunately the translation just doesn't capture it deeply but the song is still fire even if you don't get it. My fave line? ANARCHY ANARCHY! Free Palestine ❤🔥🍉
Here's a thing. There's a form of music driven freestyle poetry in the middle east called Zajal, that's been around for over a thousand years, apparently originating in North Africa/Moorish Spain. Freestyle poetry also made its way to Europe by the Troubadour tradition. If rapping came from the tradition known as Jamaican Toasting, then it might have come over the Atlantic via the slave trade.
I thought it was powerful. Music was fine, I enjoyed it. Pay attention to the message even if you may not like the music. All every normal everyday person really wants in the end is to be happy. No matter your culture or colour. Resonate some understanding.
