DaC - Bree: 01, The Adventure Begins 

Sad to see you go Galu, you have brought me many years of fun and lore. Thank you for everything you have done for the mod and on your youtube channel!

I think your take on DaC's future with v5 being it's last major release is very realistic: it's still great, but the best times are in the past. I expect I'll still come back to this every so often over the next few years, because it's still the best LOTR experience there is now, but the massive gap between v4.5 and v5 release has dropped the momentum and it won't get it back with new games releasing in the future. I hope the team will try to release smaller updates rather than just adding more and more to an unreleased creation that no one can enjoy, but let's see. All in all, it's not your problem anymore and I just want to end on thanking you for a great run over the past few years. I'll be following your remaining DaC campaigns until the end, but no matter when they stop, you've given a lot of people enjoyment here, and please don't underestimate the positive effect your channel and your videos have had.

Dearest Galu, I just wanted to thank you for all your RU-vid content. You were among the very few youtubers that kept me going during one of the hardest times in my life and I cannot thank you enough, although you may not know it, you truly made a difference in my life and many others I'm sure! Dear Galu, I think I‘ll speak for everyone within the community that we are very very sad about you leaving. To me you have always been an identification figure concerning the mod and Middle Earth. But I am really looking forward to our last journey together behause I am very thankful for all the great and often funny moments over the last years. „For not all tears are an evil.“

Medieval II has more players than Rome II at times haha, but I also don’t care. It’ll be for the people that still want to play, then the remaster will hit and we’ll see. I think this game has a hardcore community. But good luck on your future endeavours, you smug toast.

I’ve become very busy recently in my life too, so I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve always loved your content and all the work you’ve done on this mod and the overview videos as well. Thank you for everything. We can only hope that this won’t be an indefinite hiatus. Much as bands I love breaking up and then returning years down the road :)

It is refreshing to listen to you talk about how events in our daily lives will take time away from our DaC hobbies whether it involves modding or playing. Hearing you ramble about that reminded me of Gandalf's speech to Pippin when in the film the Olog was battering onto the gate. That scene along with what you said about life taking time away from DaC creates some comforting metaphor. I'm probably thinking too much about this because I have had food poisoning since July 3rd.

Thank you for introducing me to a mod that I have now have spent many hours enjoying. It will be terribly sad to not hear your voice but I'll be here with you till the end.

Thank you for all the videos, I discovered your channel at a very low point in my life and your videos gave me an escape and I would listen to them on multiple hour long journeys I had to take in the car. I'm in a very good place in my life now with a baby coming in 5 weeks and I will be able to tell them so much about LOTR lore when he's older because of you and I really think it is something myself and him will bond over as he grows up. I hope you read this and know how much you helped me when I didn't want to ask anyone for help. I'm sad to see you go, it was one of your videos that RU-vid recommended one day that introduced me to DaC and the DaC community and while I follow Izzy and a few others you are and always have been my favourite DaC RU-vidr. Real life must come first so I understand why you are stopping but a part of me wishes that you don't stop entirely and continue to post videos from time to time as the mood strikes. Been around since the inception of the channel. Loved watching since then and it will always be a source of fond memories. I hope you end up doing other games for RU-vid instead of leaving entirely

Mae Govannon and I hope you end with a bang with these last 2 campaigns. All your vids from the last decade will remain for as long as RU-vid exists so you are a Legend thanks to your dedication to DAC. It has been an honour, and usually a pleasure, to have watched as many as I can from that decade. A version 6 is probably a bad idea as the MOD has achieved the pinnacle of excellence in its current version 4 and while I look forward to 5 I don't see it being any better than the current version. Tweeking can actually make a game worse as has been seen with the giants of computer gaming crashing and burning.

I always feared this day would come. Once you stepped away from DaC the mod, it was only a matter of time. You could hear it in your voice. I have to say I was sitting at work today and was honestly torn up about this news. I genuinely feel a sense of sadness that in a few months time we as a community won’t have your videos to ‘come home to’. Personally I wish to thank your for your countless hours put into the videos and the mod. You will be greatly missed Galu, and your work and legacy will live after you not only on RU-vid but in so many fond memories of your viewers and dare I say friends. I wish you and Jessica the absolute best in your lives together and I wish you the best with your career. I hope we may cross paths one day, and reminiscence of the good “Elder Days”. I would really miss your channel, your videos and all DaC content you produced. I am gratefull for all your work. Yet, please do not feel obliged to give us last two campaigns. Yes, it would be a nice goodbye, but you should not do it if it causes you any discomfort. After watching the first episode, I had a feeling that you do not enjoy it that much, playing a bit careless and annoyed…probably due to the bad first attempt in the campaign.

Well one of the masons halls tiers gives journey men a decent crossbow unit so it is worth to build them along side the build cost reduction. One of my favorite things about Bree, it makes you build stuff to help the economy and gives you military

I've never commented on a youtube video, i dont think. I just wanted to say that I will very much miss your weekly videos. I wanted to wish you well and hope that you may decide to return to putting random videos up now and then. One thing that has been on my mind lately is that I was wondering if there was a copy of the mod as you left it. I very much wanted to play your revamped middle man factions. However I'm not overly interested in the changes I've seen from the new mod team, I just dont like the unit cards and I was baffled at the cosmetic overhaul of Ar-Adûnaim. I just dont like it. If not I understand and if its as a simple as copy and replacing some folders to I can do that. Either way, again I wish you well and thank you for all the entertainment you have provided me over the years. I wish I knew some elvish to give you a proper good bye, but I'll just settle on 'goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end they simply mean I'll miss you. Until we meet again.'

LOL Yes, I'm playing 4.67 as Bree and I've noticed characters die too easily. You need to place the unit with the commander hidden behind another unit.

I have a problem with the game where I can't even see the bottom part of the user interface in the campaign map. So I can't even end turn. Been trying to figure out how to fix it for the last hour or so lol.
