To your thoughts about the continuation of the channel, I completely understand not wanting to have to be entertaining after a long day a work, I’m with you. But as you said in episodes past, maybe leaving the door open for random videos even if it’s once a month or once every two months would be great. You’ve said that some days you really fancy recording and other not so much. It you don’t fancy recording for 2 months straight but then get the desire to play, record, and upload what YOU want to do, it would be good just to have the door open. Especially as I hope you wouldn’t feel obligated to record something you don’t want to play, but instead willfully choose to record what you want to play. Just again good for thought. But ultimately whatever you feel is best for you and your family is what we support. I’m just making my last ditch attempt to keep you around because I enjoy all your content so much. Cheers Galu!
I feel bad for Links, version 4.6 was pretty much a masterpiece which encouraged other modders to begin piling submods on top of it...can't really complain that he kept the mod alive considering there isn't a large contingent of other modders who want to complete vanilla DAC.
In defense of that new Jav animation, from the little I have seen so far, it appeared that they actually threw their javelins more quickly. In my experience, axe throwers and javelin throwers often sit around for 10-12 seconds before actually releasing their weapon. This animation seemed to get them going pretty quickly
I'm with you on the javelin animation change. The whole problem with javelins was their short range, especially when the enemy was advancing towards them, which usually limited them to one good volley. Now their own throwing animation closes the distance even more, and also makes it that much harder to skirmish with them. Also, (22:58) trust me, we all knew that was coming. I was fully prepared to proclaim it along with you. 😁
First, I want to guess Edhellond could mean something like, 'Elf-Haven' but I have no idea in all honesty. Secondly, I've always loved your videos and we will all undoubtedly miss your channel. I just wanted to say before you go, I wish there were more people on RU-vid like you. To be fair, I don't watch much RU-vid and your channel is the only channel I watch regularly. You have an old-soul like many of the nuns I know in the Convent I work in, but with an English accent, haha. Hopefully life goes well with you beyond RU-vid. Best of luck to you!
For the last couple weeks I've had a sneaking suspicion come on that V. 5 will never be publicly released or "finished" but at least the RU-vidrs that have access will at least show us the cool new changes.
Episode 4 started well but wheels are already coming off, I see. Taking out the Ar Ardaniam 1st is the best of many difficult choices as the raids they send will cripple your domestic economy...but perhaps there is still a glimmer of hope! I will see this one out with you as I have failed Dol Amroth campaign every time I try.

7500 is a bargain! They were willing to burn far more money by speculating on some real estate. These Gondorian project developers just buy and buy and buy these days, no wonder housing prices are through the roof. Every Gondorian peasent has to rent tiny basement appartments because these merchants can buy property for cheap to rent it out again, only to find mold in the kitchen or a giant Khandish horde at your front door. Dispicable business practice if I say so myself, the Steward has lost sight of the common people! Perhaps we should have a king again. I hear that there as some men down south that are loyal to the king, maybe they can bring some changes around here.
Honestly, I think I remember it from your previous videos. Elf Haven or harbour or sth along the lines was Edhellond? And now after writing down my guess upon looking up indeed it was Elf Haven.

Edhellond is elf-haven Lond is haven and Edhel is Elf in some form. Tir Ethraid is harder, Comparing it to MInas Tirith I would assume Tir means Guard or something similar. Ethraid I don't know. But I think it was located further north originally so I would assume Ethraid has something to do with a crossing of a river or something.
What if you go for Gobel Mirlond and cover the cost, and could have used Tistiost's end for a ceasefire with Khand? Or try ceasefire anyway, they might be up for that.

Galu… why. Why would you auto resolve against a full stack army instead of withdrawing on the battle map. Did you just want to rename a town after his untimely death? That seems to be the only answer that makes sense.

I dislike withdrawing on the battle map and generals usually survive auto resolve anyway.
@ withdrawing wouldn't be possible anyway since istion ran out of movement points, right? so you would have had him rout, which most probably would have killed him anyway. Ive never had the auto-resolve kill my general on the first auto-resolve on a turn, some real bad luck here😅

Lond means haven (as with mithlond and forlond). As its an elven settlement within a largely human area, it could mean something like haven of the elves or elfhaven. Maybe haven is also understandable as 'enclave' or 'refuge' (like a safe haven). So maybe it could also mean elven refuge or elf enclave. But thats just me speculating even further
No, he didn't. He preferred to play vanilla DaC to show the vanilla experience to people and told people to go watch Izzy for AGO content as far as i remember.
I’m not sure on edhellond but I’m gonna guess elf haven I think lond is port or haven or something along those lines and if I remember correctly Edhellond has quite a bit to do with Elves.
