Yeah... we even took a couple rest days along the way. Strong Museum Is the bomb if you ever go to Rochester, and we loved touring the NY State Capital in Albany. Others have done the trip raddonneur style (nonstop, ultra-cycling) but James is only 10 and I don't think he'd enjoy that.

Hi, I've never been tested for ASD, and I identify as neurotypical. James is a high-functioning autistic with ADHD. He is a very normal kid until something sets him off... and then he isn't. A big part of making a ride like this work with James is managing his expectations in unfamiliar environments, creating a safe boundary of rules he can work within, and allowing him the freedom to explore the ride within those boundaries. He did really well on this ride, and only had one real outburst, and one relationship issue with a host family at a house we visited.
