There is an entire huge wall at HYBE (their company) in Seoul, Korea that display all of those trophies they literally poured their blood, sweat, & tears into. They deserve that recognition, respect, & love back to them. Each & every one of them is a phenomenal artist in their own right. This IS why BTS is a global phenomenon. They breach language barriers, cultivate unity world wide, & a teach the world about unconditional love to both yourself & with others.
They are talking to the haters. They went through a lot of hate and racism on their journey. The one you said your sister probably liked is RM. He is the leader of BTS. Please please check out BTS' hip-hop phile. They pay homage to the goats!!! It's awesome!!!!
They're talking about haters, ones who thought they were not going to make it and were racist against them. We Army show lots of love for our guys and support them and get those who do not support them.
I love this song but the rappers are holding back here a bit. You want to really hear/see them rap, check out Outro:Tear, UGH and their Cyphers. Each rapper also has solo albums/mixed tapes that highlight their serious rap abilities. Each has his own style. Change of cadence, in the pocket, flow switches…they are rap masters.
Exactly. This is like "rap lite" for the BTS rappers. Check out RM's "Do You" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rN0_2jyOgzg.html (this link has subtitles) and "Joke" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OxMrBNBWksM.html (also with subtitles, which is hard to find for these older videos). And for something newer, "Still Life" and "Wild Flower". Then Suga/Agust D: "Agust D" (the name of the song), "Daechwita", "Haegeum" and "Amygdala". And J-Hope: "Daydream", "More" and "Arson". And with all three: "Ddaeng". (Will post this comment on its own too, in case no one clicks on "replies", haha).
You should watch the BTS guide it’ll explain a lot about the group their struggles and give you a look into each member. You’ll be amazed to see they write produce so loving and loyal to army. It’s definitely worth watching
I truly appreciate yours and your son's willingness to tap into other genres of music with open minds. Although, BTS is far more than a specific genre. Their journey has been filled with a lot of ups and downs, xenophobia, and racism to say the least. I recommend you delve into their back story. You will not be disappointed.
#RM and #SUGA started out as underground rappers during their teen years long before being known as BTS, the members’ ages oldest to youngest 31-27. *If you looking for more of their RAW Rap/hip hop style check out **#BTS** Rapline solo mixtapes and albums as well as HIP HOP PHILE (no MV), Cyphers 1-4, DDAENG & UGH! Live performances.*
BTS are the ultimate underdog came from a company close to bankruptcy, they didn't really have the funds to promote them properly and often times preformed for free, and because of that they became easy targets and were diss by other hip-hop artists and kpop idols..a lot of unnecessary hate so this is one of those songs were they are just talking their ish RM said he actually took inspiration from one of Obama's speeches when writing this song.. I also highly recommend you listen to the cyphers and also look into their individual music because the rappers have very different styles when they work solo compared to with the group
The guy that speak English is Rm the leader in the group and a rapper, he is fluent in English, he learned by watching all 10 season off the sitcom Friends
Now if you are looking for bomb as rap and lyrical skills….the rap line Cyphers 1-4 (1 & 2 are my personal fave but all 4 are 💣), UGH, and Tear. Thanks for giving them a chance and appreciating their talent and skill. They have creative control, write their own songs, beats, production to album/MV concepts. 💜
Agreed. Mic Drop is more melodic while the Cypers, Outro Tear and Ddaege plate some of the more classic rap. As much as any song of BTS can be classic. They are all outstanding.
By the time they did this song. They had won awards in over 115 countries'. They are also the only band to play a concert in Saudi Arabia ( AT THE REQUEST OF THE PRINCE) There is still some fancams from the concert around,
As a hip-hophead I can tell you their rap songs go really hard lyrically and musically both in their group and solo work. Two of the rappers actually started out as underground rappers before joining BTS and it shows.
Lol. This is the first time that I see someone listen to this song and think is about a girl. Surprised cus throughout the whole song the lyrics are pretty obvious that is to the haters. It even says Haters in the chorus. 😅
If you want more rap focused stuff here are some recommendations: -Ddaeng (HIGHLY recommended Enjoy BTS MORE LIVE + EXPLANATION video) -Outro:Tear (live Wembley stadium with English subtitles) -Ugh (Enjoy BTS MORE) -Dope -We Are Bulletproof pt 2 -Not Today -Danger -Dis-ease (Dial 6317 lyric video channel) -cyphers 1-4 (I also highly recommend the cypher medley on Enjoy BTS MORE) -Idol ft. Niki Minaj -All Night by BTS FT. Juice World -Hip Pop Phile/lover live with English subtitles -Born Singer live (rendition of Born Sinner by Jcole) (their is an younger and older versions of live performances, I highly recommend older one but stage mix due to copyright) Solo recommendations: -AgustD: Daewitcha, ➡️ Haegeum, ➡️ Amygdala (trilogy in this order) -RM: Joke (look up MV with English subtitles fan made bc original doesn’t have cc), Do You (MV doesn’t have cc), Wildflower, Yun (with Erykah Badu), & Still Life (with Anderson Paak) -Jhope: DayDream, Arson, More, On The Street ft. Jcole, & Neuron -Jin: Astronaut, Yours, & Awake -Jimin: Set Me Free pt.2 & Like Crazy & Serendipity -V: Stigma (live), Slow Dancing, Love Me Again (Korean Tiny Desk performance I recommend) -Jungkook: 3D (their is a version with Justin Timberlake), Seven, Still With You, Hate You, & Standing Next to You (their is a version with Usher)
They started with a small company in Korea. The artist from the bigger companies looked down on them and made fun of them for having no money and little prospects to succeed. Also, RM and Suga were rappers in the underground scene. They got a lot of hate from their peers for becoming Idols. Finally, when they started to make it overseas they got hate in Korea for becoming Westernized and from Westerners with racism and xenophobia. This is their response to all that hate.
BTS are highly diverse with their music and concepts, they also have done many western & local artist collaborations throughout the industry since 2013 and RM before that. So, they are deeply connected to the music world that is literally part of their life as well as their fans (A.R.M.Y)! Even without the english dubbed part of this remix, all members can speak english well enough to have conversations and communicate with everyone but they are still more comfortable speaking Korean since it is their naive language which they can also speak, sing, rap in Japanese and English. Some English words are just as is across most languages bc they can't be translated which can help you semi understand what they’re saying.
Now it's time for ON Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima. Cyphers 1-4 are going to shock you. A good place to start is the BTS Festa Room Live 2021. It has snippets of a bunch of songs. Including the rapline. Love you guys together. I hadn't seen a reaction with your son yet. Love it. 😘💜🫰🏻🫶🏻
This is them actually playing nice, lol. Check out Suga's song Daechwita (under his solo name Agust D). And RM's song Joke (it literally requires multiple explanations to lay out all the burns he puts down using Korean idioms, inside cultural wordplay, and going in and out of English). To this day, no one in the rap scene has responded to it.
I'VE BEEN ARMY FOR 8 YEARS NOW. I JUST WANTED TO MAKE THIS COMMENT THAT BTS MADE THIS SONG MIC DROP BECAUSE OF ALL THE HATERS THAT WAS HATING ON THEM AT THE TIME. A LOT OF HATERS WERE SAYING THEY WAS NOT GETTING ANY AWARDS. EVEN THOUGH THEY GOT THEIR FIRST DAESANG AWARD IN 2016, NOW THEY GOT OVER 70. AS OF 2022, THEY RECEIVED 525 AWARDS OUT OF 743 NOMINATIONS. THEY ALSO BROKE NUMEROUS GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS. IN SHORT, BTS IS KPOP... MIC DROP BABY.
They’re clapping back at the haters while proving why they’re so good at what they do. I mean, how fucking brilliant is that? Who else can even do that but BTS?
Thanks for the reaction guys! I can't wait til yall react to the live performance it will blow your mind, doesn't matter which performance you choose there talent will blow your mind!
When RM and Suga aka Agust D left the underground rap scene to become idols the people who they thought were their friends publically dissed them. Said they were not rappers but girls for wearing make up. Suga and RM and J Hope the three rappers are full members of the Korean Copyrighters Assoc. They write their own stuff and are producers too. Suga has even won awards for producing other artists.
38 year old here, my mom and my grandparents hv been with BTS for 10 years now. Am just happy to see our fmly growing. Enjoy the journey. Their live performances are next level. Can't wait for it. Thank you for giving Our7 a chance. They ate real good men. Our boys are good people.
There were a bunch of people telling them they would never succeed and putting them down for all kinds of reasons, and their response was they’d prove them wrong. They sure did.
INFO: All Kpop groups have what is called lines, they are groups of members doing a specfiic thing, like the dance line, the vocal line and the rap line. Now BTS has the same thing there are 3 levels of rap within the group, the group rap like Mic Drop, the rap line songs like cypher series pt 1, pt 2, pt 3, pt4 , UGH, then you have solo songs for the members RM;s Joke, Suga - Daechwita and jhope arson. There is a big difference with this, they are subtle with there words within the group, they are more vocal to there haters in the rap line, and can be even more graphic in there solo songs. So the rap line can be very complex. Some people think because they do solo songs it means they break away from the group, they dont actually they do there own songs while still being part of the main group.
There are 3 rappers. RM, the leader, the one you thought your sister liked, rapped from 13 yo, and Suga as well. J-Hope learned when he joined. All 3 released solo mixed tapes that were free to fans. The rap line's live concert performance of Outro Tear is 🔥🔥🔥 Now they are in their solo era and have all released solo projects of their own. They are still together as a band but are all currently doing their mandatory military service. When they are all back by mid-2025, the plan is to return as a group. All 7 are talented. They can all write, compose, produce their own music. The 3 rappers are the most prolific, tho.
The rappers also have official albums - so has the vocalline - since they went into preperations for the military service. Recently J-Hope's "Hope On the Street Vol. 1" dropped and we are still waiting for RM's new drop he has been hinting at for months.
So talented. V had no singing experience. Suga, RM and Jin had no dance experience. Truly amazing voices and dancers. Music is so diverse. Lyrics meaningful.
It's a song that I love. A message to the Haters who thought that BTS wouldn't make it in the music Industry. It's like, BTS is saying Look at me now! Look at where hard work, dedication and perseverance got me. And they stay humble... I love that. There's always going to be haters but... ARMY will always be with them. No doubt 😊
Nice reaction, this is the conclusion to the cyphers series where the rap line of Suga , j hope and R M dismantle all the BTS haters! You need to check out the live versions of the cyphers, I recommend the cyphers medley 2017 just to see how bad ass the rap line is. 3 of the greatest MC in the world!
Watching other people watch them and talk so positive warms my heart. If you knew their story these man worked so hard to get where they are today. They looked over each other and their fandoms. They saved many lives by giving us love, positivity, motivation, and inspiration. They paved the way for other Korean artist to be heard globally. They cheer not only for themselves but for other people. They know how hard it is to make it. They are respectful and humble. I better stop I’m writing a whole book here.
Mic drop amazing song, dedicated to those who minimize it. At the last concert in Busan, which was with a live band, it was mind-blowing. BTS always does incredible performances, they are missed, thanks for the reaction 💜 💕
Thanks for the reaction to “ the 7 wonders of the world, BTS “ 💜🙏You really need to watch the video by By Taylor Mari …..“ A Guide to BTS Members: Bangtan 7 “. By XCeleste …..“ BTS Hardships “ and other videos by XCeleste. By Rice Squad…..“ The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A BTS Story “ the 2023 Updated version. They are lengthy videos. BUT we will watch them with you!! You will learn A LOT of information that you are asking for through these videos. And understand them and where ARMY comes from with their comments, and protection of the Bangtan Boys. These videos give lots and lots of explanations and the rice squad video will give a deep dive into albums and ranking on billboard charts and you will see where they actually stand and Outrank the western artists. They’ve collaborated with many western artists and others around the world. BTS is GLOBAL and on top of the world. They have sure paved the way for Asian artists. We are ARMY!! We love BTS and K-pop ‼️💜💜💜🫶💜💜💜💜💜
If you are truly interested in BTS you can check out The Guide to BTS members. Then check their songs then the individual.solo albums/ songs of other members
Rm and Suga started as underground rappers and took so much s**t for making it to ground level & J-hope learned rapping from them... So they can RaP-rap... 🔥I recommend Cyphers 1-4 then their live cypher medley. (with their 3 rappers.)
I like the way that you put when you’re listening the video as big and then y’all are smaller and then when y’all are talking and stop it put y’all as larger. I don’t see that very often and I just really appreciate that.
BTS's label - BigHit - was an independent label in the huge industry of k-pop, kind of like independent labels are here in the US only worse. The BTS guys worked their butts off so hard, and did many unique things like combine vocals with rap, sing about tough subjects like depression or criticizing schools (this stuff was never allowed there). By hard work and originality they began to rise. The big industry, media, fans of other groups turned against them in ugly ways. So their music is in a few categories, the tough topics, art pieces, flexing back at all this hate, loving yourself and loving their fans. I don't really bother with other groups. Right now they're filling in the gap while BTS is in the military but they'll never be as good. With all group, vocal, rap, and solos, there's so much to explore right here with the best, just keep going!
RM and SUGA (rappers) started as underground rappers at 13. They signed with Big Hit in the beginning to be a rap group. When the concept changed to add singers and dancing, their underground "friends" made fun of them for wearing makeup and "being girls", not rappers. They publicly tried to humiliate them and they were just kids, so it was pretty tough. (Suga originally joined to be a rapper and producer, but at the time had to decide between eating lunch or having bus money to get home. He really needed the money because his parents were dead set against the music career. Hence, the line to his mom, Sorry I'm so killing it.). So this is definitely giving the middle finger to that underground crowd, most of whom never made it, who made fun of them. BTW, I'm 72. Love these guys!
You only have to know of economy and the high suicide rates in SK to know why his parents were concerned. They did drive Suga to the label to give him the chance he wanted.
@@JanB-qm2bi The bit of his parents driving him is in the first chapter of their biography. I think Cameron Philip has at least read the first chapter. The rest? Can be found in "The Rise of Bangtan"-series and the sources it is based on. 💜
If you want to see snippets of their songs, you can react to BTS ROOM LIVE, live vocals, medley of their 8-10 songs if im not mistaken, and you can also see the range of genres they can do. They have 300+ songs on theur discography not counting their solo songs.
They wrote this song for their haters. Check out where they used to live when they debuted. They still lived in a one bedroom dorm. They cooked their own one year celebration dinner, baked and decorated a cake, decorated their dining room area. They were the total underdogs who rose to the top through hard work and determination!
Technically there was a second bedroom but the manager slept there. Some of them were after all underage and there were places they needed to be - managers usually drive Idols to their appointments.
Keep the BTS content coming. BTS group songs and solo projects 🫶🏾💜 the guide to BTS by Taylor is a great way to start. It's long, but we'll watch, so theres no need to do in parts or edit heavily. When you reach solos, please check out Jhope performance at Lollapalooza. It's top 5 of any BTS performance I've seen. Historic and epic
The opening singer, J-hope, is one of the rap line of BTS and did an hour solo rap performance at Lollapalooza on his own. And Suga , "mom your boy is killing it",also one of the rap line ,did solo concerts as Agust d. And as others have mentioned handsome blonde,RM, Rap Monster, is a poet at heart and writes songs for BTS as do others in the group. Talent of BTS knows no bounds.
They are talking about haters 💜💜💜💜💯so many people played them , and to be up at the top they popping their shit I’ve been following them since 2013 and they over came so much
