This made me tear up. 😢 I have a dad, but I don't see him often because he has hurt me a lot in the past. When I do, he doesn't make much of an effort to connect with me. He's addicted to his work, and all of his time goes into raising his 4 year old son with my stepmom. He has a habit of talking to me like I'm an object, not a human being. He has commented countless times about my weight and how I need to invest in a diet plan. I feel like I'm constantly being judged. He's missed all of my concerts even though I tell him about them. I have always gotten straight A's, but even excelling in academics doesn't seem to get his attention. Shoutout to all of the other daughters in this world who have a dad, but he hasn't lived up to the title of "dad." Stay strong, you deserve more and you are loved. ❤

I mean the message that he is spreading is good but not mandatory. My father is divorced, lives in a different continent. My mom doesn’t know the first thing about homework and is always at work. I am almost always alone yet I do very good in school, health wise, making friendships. Having both parents give the child so many more benefits, but if your missing one or two. The child will start to adapt. But this is just my opinion.

Yeah but the mom can only do so much. 1. Her missing her dad could lead to poor grades 2. The mom has to do everything else in the house 3. The mom (judging by her not practicing sports) is probably not as good with sports as the dad 4. The mom might not be as good at teaching as the dad is or may not be as helpful 5. The mom is probably to busy and tired doing everything else

I can so relate to this video, sadly it’s the other way around my mother barely helps me with anything my father always there but sometimes busy with work.
