Well, you can get a monkey and then make your own rules. No punishment, no training. Just let your monkey do whatever he wants. But in this house, they expect the monkeys to be obedient. And this is an appropriate way to discipline a monkey..

Dodo probably doesn't know why he is punished. But it's good to respect you because soon he will be Alpha male and will be too strong to be controlled. He should learn his limits and boundaries because as he grows he wil keep testing your control.
I totally agree and the more views and subscribers they have... that monkey princess yaya has almost 300k subs which is alot of money and the amount of views was in the thousands... I watched a n Australian say how much he got for the month with 6k subscribers and 3 k views which is nothing compared to these monkey videos and he got $180 for the 3 weeks so imagine how much they get and put these monkeys thru hello it's so sad x

But they must understand punishment because they get punished by their real moms and members in their troop.Thats how they teach them in the wild by punishing them.

I have never complained or griped about this couple , but I don’t truly understand what’s going on in this video, and if it is what it seems to be, then shame on you two! This is a monkey! And, I also saw the stick in the shadows. You two better NOT hit this poor baby with a stick, even threatening to do that is cruel and wrong! Discipline isn’t taught with threats and cruelty, it’s taught with love, being stern, and being consistent! Take some lessons, or give them to someone who knows how to love and take care of them correctly.

Why did you watch and film him as he went too far away but you did nothing until he came back? How in the world is he supposed to know what he's even in trouble for by then? He is not a child, he's an animal that does not understand. If you can't punish him for something immediately, then don't do it at all because they don't know why you're doing it ten minutes after the fact

Ohhhh no, I know you parents love a lot to dodo. But u know one thing out of fear and safty for dodo u r trying to teach dodo by punishing him like this. Ruth Lovelace the only thing we can do is educate people. It's illegal to even own primates in Vietnam. They own this monkey most likely it was purchased in a market. The hunters/poachers, will kill the moms because it's the only way to get these babies away from them. They're semi able to control him here but when he reaches puberty, he's going to become too much for them to handle. It's so sad to watch what they're doing and then to listen to ppl encourage these morons is sickening. They've even sent them gifts from the US...

Monkeys can't be trained. They have a hierarchy but are mostly on their own to forage and don't share food. Dogs are pack animals that have to cooperate and coordinate to hunt and over thousands of years of domestication they have been bred and evolved to accept human families and thrive being part of them. Monkeys are still wild and can be beaten into submission but not trained or raised in any way that's going to make them a proper pet or prevent them from suffering in captivity when isolated from their own kind

Okay let me see if I got this right. You sat there filming for at least 2 full minutes, as you observed him running around, completely untethered, in an area he, unlike you, doesn't know is dangerous. Then once he's wandered too far into this alleged dangerous area you punish, berate, and abuse him and he literally has no clue why you're treating him in this manner. It honestly seems like the situation could have easily been avoided had you just acted as a responsible pet owner would have acted.

@@memyself6659 Yikes, yeah I'm not a serial killer in the making so I don't do that. Anyone that know literally anything about training animals would say that negative reinforcement will only make matters worse and breaks an animal's trust which basically 100% of the time causes aggression in animals. Positive reinforcement is the only way to train animals if you actually want results.
