The BU is completely fictional except that each of the BTS members use their real names for the characters and use the story and songs express some of their true inner struggles. For example Namjoon's character struggles with being burdened with too many responsibilities and feeling unable to live his own life. Sound familiar?

Hi dear. 69yo ARMY here. This is the BTS Universe. There actually was a movie made about it recently. It's a Korean film telling the story of the BU with actors playing the BTS members. I forget the name of it though.

There was a series made called Begins ≠ Youth of this storyline. ... It's a fictional Korean drama. There are actors playing each of the guys in this mostly fictional story. I LOVE it. The first season ended a few months ago. The actors do a great job portraying each member. This was Hybe's first major experiment with block chain sales of content. If you buy an episode (which are limited in number)... it is yours. Once all of them are sold no one can buy any more from the company... but you can sell your copies for a profit or rent them to people. It's like owning a collectible.

And down the rabbit hole we go! More knowledgeable ARMYs than I will give you the order of the mvs, short films etc to watch. To be honest it is so fragmented and confusing that I only really understood the BU storyline after watching the TV Series Begins Youth that was made based on the BU. Just enjoy the pieces of the puzzle for what they are - beautiful and tragic art and don't stress out about it not making sense for awhile. Enjoy the journey!

A unique story line where the guys are acting out a movie. They are actors but they use their same names. I honestly never understood why they didn't change their names to character's names. These are all associated with the Wings album. That is Begin, Lie, that is 1 and 2 it ends with Blood, Sweat and Tears. They did make a movie in Korea. In English they have a webtoon, game and 2 books. These sketches are reflective of the stories of 1 Jungkook's character in the BTS Universe and 2 is about Jimin's character. xCeleste has the updated storyline for the BTS Universe but I have stopped suggesting things as you made it clear you do not listen to the comments.

When you watched the first short film, I sent you an email with info about these short films along with links to the films with English subs. They were included with info about the BU with the videos and films in order so you could understand the story a nit better.

You delving deeper into the bangtan universe now lol. These tie into the story being told throughout their mv’s which has now been turned into a tv series with the first being called Begins = youth which allows us to see this story in more depth. The series doesn’t have the actual members in it though just actors playing these roles and the characters names are the same as those used for the members in the webtoon 7 fates: chakho (which is a different story btw). Honestly though Bts are more than just a boyband and they have changed the way we consume music and have created so much other content that links in in different ways with what they do, the further you delve the deeper you wanna go down that rabbit hole 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

It's based on a book from 1919 about a boy(boys in this case) meeting good and evil in the world. What you are watching is one piece of a very large jigsaw puzzle, so it's going to be weird. The whole thing has even been the study of academic papers. Commenters are going to tell you all kinds of detail, probably more than you want or know at this point. Best thing is find the live performances behind the short films (such as "Lie" by Jimin) and enjoy those.

lol Nesto this part of the BTS Universe if wanna understand better the universe in one shot I would definitely recommend Begins ≠ Youth it’s from Hybe based on the BTS Universe it isn’t the boys playing but it’s explain the universe into a Kdrama novel for ppl it’s a easier concept to understand what the universe means it’s worth of watching I cry like a baby many times 💜💜🫰🏻

Jimin is hospitalized there for depression

There's a reason that these haven't been recommended to you yet. The BU is packed with info from different mediums, and it pretty much needs your full concentration to circumnavigate it all. There is a series, 'BeginsYouth', that is created from this that would be a lot easier to explain it all as some of the information that contributed to the BU is no longer available. The BU characters are fictional and not based on the lives of any of the bts members , they just portray them in the BU content. ✌️💜

I’ve been Army for years and have only seen some of Wings BU; I have yet to find a complete dive into yet because it is very deep so It is a whole different world to dive in, I myself still haven’t even seen all the music videos and lives there’s so many; plus I don’t like scary movies 😂
