This album is titled Anti, is anti the normes, the way how she collected the songs together, and no song is like the other, in no rythmique way, this is so effortless and so divine to the bones, when I'm thinking about love on the brain, same old mistakes, never-ending, higher, kiss it better, woo, desperado.. You can't do nothing but give this album 10/10 even if you don't feel every single song. The reaction was so good, I didn't feel the time.
The album cover depicts a young Rihanna on the picture which was taken on first day of her pre-K, she's holding a balloon which is black but her face is covered in the crown. She wanted to give something new to the audiences and the covering her face with the crown simply meant the ones who have sight seem to be the blind, the Braille on the background is the Braille version of a poem "If They Let Us", a piece about being misunderstood and not conforming onto other people's expectations of you, hence the title "ANTI" Love this record and Beyonce's Lemonade, both dropped on the same year but they're masterpieces Navy til I die⚓⚓
Damn Rihanna's delivery and lyrics on Higher remind me of Amy winehouse also. If y'all like Love on the Brain and Higher, y'all should check out some Amy Winehouse. That's her complete style and she has a great strong voice
@@me.1796 Her voice is obviously not nearly as good as Amy Winehouse's but if you actually listen to Amy Winehouse's music, which I literally know all of it, you would see that the way those songs are written as well as the instrumental are right up Amy's alley. Just swap out Rihanna's voice and picture Amy singing it
Anti was such a great album. To me Higher stands out the most. Love how riri showcased her vocals more so on this album. Should react to Beyonce's new Renaissance album.
Y’all should definitely visit Barbados in the future. My family is from there and I go back as often as I can, it’s a wonderful island and Rih definitely represents well. Side note, let pops know DJ Mustards real name is Dijon hence the name Mustard. I know he’ll get a kick out of that😂
Just wanna send love and support to u both for making time to not only create content but to listen to full bodies of work, very time consuming and y’alls work/dedication never goes unnoticed!
Your father reminds me of an uncle, I was close to that recently passed away and it really makes me feel comfortable. wish yall the best and stay happy ❤
you guys should definitely check out some of tame impala’s music considering how well y’all responded to same ol mistakes! even if neither of you are super familiar with kevin parker’s music, i feel like it would be cool to see you guys venture into it just for the production and hard hitting lyrics alone which i think y’all would appreciate!
Ok I cannot listen to desperado without picturing salma Hayek and Antonio banderas. If you guys haven’t seen that movie yet (desperado), this song will make more sense 😉
I was wanting on your dad to get to same ol mistakes and his reaction was priceless. I still get chills hearing that record. You guys should do Sza Ctrl. Lyricism, vocals, subject matter and overall album concept is chefs kiss.
Wow never knew Love on the Brain sampled Wake Up Alone by Amy but I always knew it reminded me of her music and I thought Amy was her inspiration behind it, even lyrically and her delivery
I love this because yes indeed Rihanna is so bad ass and by covering Same Ol Mistakes in reality introduced me (at the time) to Kevin, and seeing Dad thoroughly enjoy great ass music. Love it
Quickly becoming my fave album reaction channel. U and your dad have such good energy sending love and support 💖 Would love to see yalls reaction to Anderson Paak's album Malibu. Think it has a really good mix of old and new sounds (rap/neo soul/rnb) that fits yalls vibe.
The whole ANTI album has a permanent place in my brain. Absolutely love love on the brain and close to you, always favourites ❤ Beyoncé, Lemonade and Renaissance in that order. Such good albums by Beyoncé!
Yo im only at consideration and your pops is reading Rihanna and Chris brown relationship like a book just off that one song.. your pops is a real wise man can’t wait to finish the reaction
Close To You, Woo (woo is fire, when you going through a break up and slightly drunk) & Higher are my top 3 favs on this album, Rihanna did her damn thing on this one.
Yall did an amazing job on this video and reaction! I think its interesting how this album has become so beloved after many years when upon release it didn’t receive the best reviews. It was so different from her previous pop albums, but it makes this one so much more unique! Which makes me wonder, will you guys ever react to some more strictly pop albums?
Would love to see you guys react to The Forever Story by JID! Probably the best album of the year, and could definitely be seen in the future like a classic album the way GKMC is
I think u guys should react to Lloyd - Street Love album ✨💎🔥 he’s criminally underrated as a R&B singer & this album is a classic masterpiece really all of his albums are but this one in particular is earlier in his career & made me a fan ✨
Just sending love, y'all have such great energy. Your vibes are immaculate and your relationship is so inspiring and enjoyable to watch. Please don't stop doing what your doing!
You can definitely tell that Anti influenced CTRL to some degree or the very least made it CTRL easier to digest. CTRL and SZA definitely benefited for coming after ANTI and being featured on ANTI.
@@olavihekandjo2928 True, but also, Rih was most likely very inspired by SZA's earlier work, since she bought Consideration from her. So, I'd say they benefited mutually, to an extent! :)
Kurk Harrell is her vocal producer. He's worked with her since her third/forth album. Dang! I love y'all's reaction 💗. Your dad is amazing!!! A new sub here!
You two are such a vibe!! Can vouch for us females listening to all of your album reviews but it was also nice hearing some rhi rhi. Spot your dad watching every one of her music videos 👀😂
