Your children will enjoy in Africa because they are HALFCAST😂.☻☻. But if you live in China or Korea or Japan or Taiwan 🙆🏾♀️your children will suffer racism and bullying. I'm American. Three years ago, I started watching lots of Asian cinema. Shit like this happened frequently, but I kind of thought it was an exaggeration for dramatic purposes in movies. But shit, this is for real. Asian people, especially men, worry a great deal what others think of them, for all kinds of reasons including horrible ones like this blatant racism and lack of concern for his son's feelings as well as Erica's. But it is one thing to see it in a movie, and another to see it for real like this. My heart is aching for Erica. I have to say, I do not like it that Ziheng has now brought Erica to his home TWICE, and both times she has had to experience this hateful behavior directed right at her. Being white, I cannot imagine what this must be like for her, and it pisses me off that Ziheng has subjected her to this more than once, knowing it would be the same as the first time. Is he using her for good material for the videos? Kind of seems like it.
@@morningsminion3242 I completely agree with you, as a black person who has had racial words thrown at me it's not fun one bit, and if Ziheng know that his father doesn't like her one bit common sense to tell him his father doesn't one her there so why bring her not once but two time to his father's house like he love making her feel embarrassed
As a black girl, I can relate to Erika though thats so hard to go through. We black girls from African families are so welcoming to foreigners regardless of their culture or where they come from. Our patience and learning different cultures is part of us . But its so sad we struggle to get accepted in different cultures. She needs love and respect because we also do have cultures where we come from but if we can risk it all. we need to be felt loved as people with the same blood but not a thing to be scared of because soemeone will notice a black girl in an asian compound.
You see the majority of his friends and family have no problem with Erica. It is only his dad. That is a small percentage of haters. Im sure there are also a small percentage of Africans who would feel the same when she brought him home. But they are smarter about hiding their feelings.
Nobody really hates nobody, it's just when they have very different cultures they felt annoyed by their inconsiderate behaviors, it doesn't matter which country you are from, but they usually could generalize people with stereotypes.
Sometimes parents forget that other people have parents too. I’m speaking as a mother whose child married outside our race. I lost “friends” too but I embraced it because my child is the most important person to me. Friends and neighbors come and go but the happiness of my son is a priority. Having reservations or different opinions on this relationship can be discussed respectfully with your son without hurting the girl and making her feel pathetic. No one chooses which race or skin color to be born and nobody deserves to be harassed, insulted and dehumanized for something beyond their control. It’s okay to have a deep conversation with your son but if you believe that your family is that much better, then know that your behavior reflects nothing but ignorance. Her father showed more class when he met your son regardless of his full opinions, please treat his daughter with the same respect.

Don't worry too much about your dad. As an Asian man, i can understand how traditional parents can be. They worry too much about how they look and do not want to lose face. In the end, its your life. Love who you love. You guys make a great couple!
The father obviously cares more about the neighbors opinions than his son. I wouldn't care what people say the love for my son is more important, but then again I'm a mom not a dad. His mom is a lovely caring woman.❤
Sadly yes. Like many parents too. Sometimes father's pride is their family. But when neighbors talk at their back or insulted about family members, fathers really get upset. Zhiheng may explain it well soon when things cool down a little.
IAM sorry for Erica been in this terrible situation. How can you bring her home again when you know the father doesn't like her color or her race? She is a human with feelings and not a experiment.

As an African who has a brother in china he spoke of how friendly y’all are and how homey and nice people treat him seeing the matured and nice comments from some of the Chinese makes my heart beam with joy.
Is all about bringing up traditional values and most Chinese in the Mainland still prefer the same colour to be son or daughter in law but in Singapore...it does not matter so much
In the end result, the happiness of the son should be more important to his father than the approval of his neighbours, but this takes time to fully understand
Erica’s father and family showed more class and respect to Ziheng when she took him home. They treated both of them as adults and had intelligent conversation. In African culture how you treat and receive strangers and visitors into your home says a lot about your character. You never walk away from your guests, speak badly about them in their presence. Your character and standing in the community will fall. Also, I would never humiliate my son in front of his friends. As a mother, that would make me sad. Deep thoughts and feelings can be discussed later with your son in private. Of course your son shouldn’t record and publish humiliating experiences that are hurtful to her and family as well. How will Erica’s family react and feel if they see these videos after he promised to take care of her in China?
black people don't hate , black people accept all races of people in the family, it's the racism and the weak mindset of white supremacy that they are following, its brainwashed 😮.
African/black families will accept other races alot quickly than other races accept African/blacks. That is really putting down Africa/blacks as lower than the others. African/ blacks try too hard to get accepted.SMH😦
I really wish we get to a world where people cant stop hating\judging people because of their skin color. People are passing up moments to meet new people or even learning about different culture..

His Dad is wasted his time, bothering himself with what people say and he is more concerned with it. He has a a very liberal intelligent son, Ziheng is so admirable not to give in, but respect his father’s feeling towards this issue for now. I get emotional seeing Erica so sad even putting herself to be blamed, as the cause of the argument. Poor Ziheng, his plans to give Erica a great time in China ended with heartbreak. He is so hurt to see Erica in her pitiful state, trying his very best to make her change her mind. Erica in her own sensible character, knows she is doing the right thing Erica made the right decision to just leave them in peace and be a family for the remaining days of his holidaying, his Dad must be very delighted, he can be with son for a while
Your father needs to understand how we treat you in Africa. We love you as we love ourselves in Africa and we expect that same love when we we visit you. But i think its not his fault , its the society that speaks bad . I love your mother. And i pray that your father will understand that Blacks are people too.
Haha, its not about the Black people. I think it is a cultural shock. Maybe this is Ziheng's dad first impression about his son's girlfriend in question.
But they don’t treat him that well in Africa. People in Africa try to make Chinese people pay high prices for things and some times trouble him to make him pay. I think Chinese people are much friendlier to Africans.
Avec le temps, ça va aller , tant que tu es heureux avec Érika, elle commence à parler chinois et est très respectueuse envers ta famille. Moi aussi je suis un chinois, j'ai connu ce problème mais j'ai résisté et je suis heureux avec mon épouse qui est noire et ça fait déjà 47 ans . Nos enfants sont très beaux.

Erica is a very beautiful, smart and sociable young lady from Tanzania, visiting and enjoying China; very lucky indeed! It is unfortunate that the father's old fashion and uncalled for inclination to disliking Erica were not representing the majority of Chinese people who are welcoming, complimenting Erica frequently in public. The Father's attitude need to changing like modern outreaching China. Erica is a beauty from Tanzania. In many ways she is like an ambassador representing the African Union Continent! I compliment the friendly courtesy of the mother who likes and treats Erica very well.

In Africa, if you treat someone's child angrily like Zi heng father treated Erica, your neighbors, family and friends will be displeased with you and call you hostile. In Africa, humanity first before social standing. You can't treat a guest like this. But here I can see China is very different. Social standing before humanity.
@@42Laj he wouldn't. Chinese are scrupulous about no malice with food. Thats not the case with other asians or non asians but the chinese are not malicious when it comes to bio terrorism. But I dont trust most non chinese in nyc where the hate for chinese is strong. There r crazy reviews for a flushing Korean restaurant where the diners have found ... metal wire, a coin and a shard of glass. Somebody in the kitchen hates the owner. Chinese wouldn't try to hurt you with food. They went all out with the meal which was not shown so I have no idea what this video was about because he keeps inviting her but I didn't get the vibe that this was romantic interest.
This was quite sad to watch seeing Erika so hurt. She needs to be stronger no need to go back just enjoy your time in China together. I would have chosen more conservative clothing a t-shirt and normal trousers. Your dad seems nice, he is really trying he just needs much more time, he got thrown out of his comfort zone. He worries about the nasty neighbors, but they will gossip behind his back no matter what, your parents can move if they surrounded by so much gossip problem solved. Your mom is so sweet.
Thank you I was thinking about that too. Even in African culture it's very important to dress up modestly when meeting parents. She seems like a nice girl but people see the outside appearance first before anything else
