driving 100 miles everyday, just for her boy to stay in the same school... I would be exhausted even without traffic But now a day, kids take it for granted. Great that an 8 years old would call his mom a hero. Very proud of her to have a such a good boy.
the way Judge Caprio treats all with respect, warmth and humor, inviting young ones up to his bench, showing honestly is good and courts aren't necessarily something to be scared off
I just cant get enough of the show. It is now my favorite show to watch on RU-vid. I have to say the woman who had the child is a Hero, and she has done such a great job with getting life done no matter what. Judge Caprio is so compasionate and caring, and there needs to be more Judges like him in our legal system.

What Judge said about the family unit hit home. My husband if 29 yrs, born in MA, decided he couldn't handle my disability anymore. We need more men like Judge Frank.!!!

Honestly, I am much, much more LESS likely to be a repeat offender when I get a treatment like this with this judge then I am when slapped with a fine by a disgruntled judge. This I will never forget, and my conscious would just kick in full force right before I'm about to commit any violation.

I think it's so entertaining and endearing when the judge calls these kids up to the bench with him & gives them choices to make. I think everyone including me can learn by this. Some people think she had a parking violation and should pay the fine, and that will also lend it's self to teaching the mom not to park illegal again. However, this mom showed up to court, waited for her turn to speak which could be up to like 4 hours, probably fought traffic to arrive on time along with her son and, perhaps lost time off work, etc. Keeping that all in mind, if I was the judge I'd dismiss the parking ticket too, after all no one got hurt and no one seemed to be inconvenienced. However no parking areas & no parking signs are there usually for a reason, perhaps it makes the road to narrow with cars parked in that area, or is near where trucks have to go in and out, etc. I very much doubt these no parking zones are there just so Providence can hand out tickets. As much as I like Judge Caprio and his soft heart, he leaves a lot of people leave the court room without at least a strong but nicely worded admonishment & in this case with her child waiting out in the hallway where he can't hear & I think that is a down-fall on the Judges part unless he does that off camera as to not embarrass the offender on camera or in this case video.

I don't' understand this thing. In Providence, you can't park overnight. Why? I mean, almost all of the tickets come from overnight parking. I suspect it's an easy way for the administration to make fast cash. I'm saying this because in Europe it's exactly the contrary: they usually don't allow you to park during the day, during working hours, in order not to have the roads congested. While, on the contrary, they allow overnight parking. So what's this prohibition due to?
My great grandparents were immigrants from Germany during WW2. I have always identified as American, not German American. I am proud of my heritage, but have never been to Germany and have lived in this great nation all my life. I choose not to identify as German American and believe that all those who place another countries name in front of America are wrong, and disrespect all those hardworking honest people who have become part of something better and greater than what was before.
